Thanks mate.. I,ve been trying to find facts about that season..I think i could of played 62 games that year..(can that be poss?). Remember 1 thing tho, I had more injections in so many different parts of the body Than Amy Winehouse on a good night out!! Anyone finds facts theres a couple of beers in it for you..

Hi Bliss

You played the following matches in 1992-93 in Div.1

League; 46 Appearences (ever present!!) 21 league goals (not a bad return! inc 2 pens)

FAC; 1 app.
FLC; 4 apps 4 goals (scored in all 4 games!!)
Anglo Italian Cup; 8 apps 4 goals

TOTAL: 59 apps 29 goals (an excellent return!)

In home match v Southend (29.8.92), you went in goal as Benstead was injured. We still won 2-1 !

In that season when we had a poor run of results, you didn't score in 11 consecutive matches!, from Jan 9th v Leicester (at GP we lost 1-2) till Mar 23rd v Grimsby (at GP we won 1-0) we had a run of 2 wins in 14 matches. If only eh!

did you take a look at the pic in the season which you questioned the incorrect squad names?

Forgot to add, you played in EVERY match that season, League and cup !!

Southend (H) was also despite having Ashley Bayes coaching him from behind the goal.

AIC Ascoli (A) is that goal still credited to Bliss, eventhough it clearly went in off the head of one of their players?

It was finally taken away from in Bliss in 2004. :sad:

good work with the info mate but it was definitely AWAY to grimsby mate, on a tuesday night, terry evans' return from his injury and bliss scored in front of us quite late, brilliant stuff.

Deffo right - Barbs drove Nick, Andy and myself up for that one. Freezing cold, mad scenes when Bliss scored.

We stayed overnight and went down to watch Grimsby train the following morning at their ground. They weren't amused to see four Bees fans laughing at them

(Remember that, Nick? lol)

Paul.. I owe you a beer or 3.. Great work mate,, Where did i get 62 from? Sure there was no Freight Rover or 3rd and 4th div cup that year??

Like many others, i'm going to choose the Kingstonian cup game in 2000. What an awful day.

Francis Joseph scored 2 for the dons that day and we signed him that close season.............every cloud:)

He did the same at Plough Lane even though we won 2-1.

Can anyone suggest other players we signed after seeing them do well against us ?

How about Pat Kruse - Sweetzer scored a hat trick against him but he still looked class.

Scott Partridge - missed a pen against us but impressed
