I’m more intrigued by the outside ring of what appear to be giant Walnut Whips. No doubt produced locally…
You’re not terrified by the giant locusts which just bombed that tower block?

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

Looks like the bin bags are on fire in the background!
That's never a 62k capacity stadium.....looks a replica of the KingPower and that's half the capacity.

Blue nose Walter Mitty tarts.

If Palace change tact when building their new stand and close the current main stand (rather than building over it) that's a lot of fans to re-locate. Might impact on the away capacity?
Standing outside would get a better view than most of the away seats anyway!

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

I'm amazed that they'll be able to increase the capacity by 7K by "refurbishing/redeveloping" the North Stand.

If they're using the existing stand structure and not closing it during the entirety of the build how are flank extensions going to add 7000 seats?

How do they rid themselves of the double tier of exec boxes and integrate the space into the lower or uppers stands given the existing sight lines?

Confused.

Numbers sound ’ambitious’ don’t they?
Safe Standing, but without any seat nos.?
Hang some boxes off the sides?
Mezzanine floor?

They are copying Fulham and by putting a swimming pool on the roof they think they can increase capacity for 7,000 sardines.

The new upper tier on Anfield Rd houses an extra 7K seats, the 3rd tier on the South Stand at the Etihad added 6,250......they're massive new tiers across the full width of the pitch and Villa think they can add 7k by just widening the existing stand in the corners?

Villa can't do anything like (seat) infilling where the existing exec boxes sit, as the concrete frame and pillars housing the boxes (and holding up the current 2nd tier) will make Barrow's away stand look minimalist in construction.

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

Almost a facsimile of the Anfield Rd redevelopment.....and having seen the way this was built without impacting on existing capacity, you can see why Villa abandoned the earlier (more complicated) design.

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

So they’re just building back from the corners, but the stand itself won’t go any further back.

It looks nice

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

We cannot do more than very minor tweaks to our new home.

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

It looks nice individually, but each of those three stands look like stands in 3 separate stadiums.

New & Redeveloped Stadiums

How are those home supporters in the (proposed) upper tier of the Don Revie going to reach their intended on field targets with their vapes, lighters, coins and water bottles?

Maybe the redevelopment will set aside some extra funds to upgrade their current moribund CCTV system.

You will be be visiting the Hill Dickinson Stadium next season then ..

PS Know they’re a commercial law firm, but that would spoil the fun.

In a statement earlier this month, the club revealed that major structural improvements would be made to the existing structure of the East Stand ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

This will include the replacement and refurbishment of all boards and seating, as well as new media facilities and a new camera platform.

On top of this, Blackpool will also repaint the underside of the South Stand roof in tangerine and white over the summer, as well as introducing safe standing to areas of the stadium as well, with railings set to be installed over the next few months.

So this the rebuilding of the massive open terrace with the cut off roof? You could see all the cut off girders sticking up.

That was the kop end behind the goal, wasn’t it? They calculated afterwards that it would have been cheaper to repair the roof instead of removing it.

After all these years of supporting Brentford, I still haven’t done Bloomfield Road. Or Home Park. Or The Racecourse Ground.

Just Bromley left. I’ve done Barnet and Barrow in the FA Cup with Brentford but they were non league teams at the time. I count current grounds only. Think I’ve seen Brighton away at four different venues.

Could do with some of that at the Gtech.

Could've repurposed that redundant bit at the back of the redeveloped stand for wheelchair use as it has a cracking view.....I'd imagine the cost of adding the other design necessities to facilitate this would be prohibitive though.

Seems daft to have a really workable space like that at the back of the stand without any future purpose or use.

Enfield Town’s pre-season programme of friendlies kicks off this month with a rather special occasion.

The visit of fellow fan-owned club AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday, 9th July not only gives the bolstered squad a chance to test their mettle against a team promoted to League One at the end of last season but coincides with the official opening of Town’s brand new 400-seater stand.
