Really pleased for Muff, obviously parallels to be drawn with us. We seem to be following them up the leagues so here's hoping it will be us soon. I even think they have a fighting chance of staying up, but only time well tell.

Muff's attacking 4 cost a combined total of 8 million, Pugh, Daniels, Francis, the keeper, Elphick and co are all on massive deals, I'm pleased for them but a Director at my place lent them money in the bad old days, sits in the posh seats and blows my mind about how much they earn.....Good luck to them but they aren't paupers doing this on the cheap.

Glad they have made it, good luck to 'em! They have played good footie and lead for a long time. Would have been very Brentford-esque for them to have missed out to Boro and co.....and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
I am sure it more than makes up for the offside goal Donny scored at ours that cost them the L1 Championship.....and it was offside!

It's not what the transfer fees are speculated to be, it's what the player contracts include that eats up the budget. Still, they have rewards coming to them... like we could have at some point.

You have Callum Wilson earning circa £12k-£15k a week, plus the many others on wages around the £10k mark,
Bournemouth's playing budget is a lot more than ours. Thy eve done well to bring in players of good value. Some for peanuts, some at a cost, but they've gelled well and FFP shouldn't be a problem for them this year either.
Next year, they'll spend to stay up. The ground may need some funding, but the £70 million for that first year will be spent to keep them up, unlike Burnley who seem to be more cautious and may be relegated because of it. But then, I don't think they have a money man behind them like Bournemouth do.

They got less than £10m for those 2.
£4m for Lallana and Grabban had a release clause which was set at £3m, transfer fee was reported as undisclosed but also reported that it wasn't necessarily as much as £3m.
They spent a fortune getting out of L1 - lost £15m in 1 season, only half of which was covered in loans by the Russian investor who doesn't like answering questions about the source of his wealth.

£5.75 million for Lallana. £3 million for Grabban. total £8.75 million.
Whatever they got, their transfer deals for last summer was more than likely in their favour. As long as the club doesn't have debt loaded on them, I don't see a problem. They will now receive a minimum of £120+ million over the next 4-5 years. If they stay up a season, then £150+ million will enter their accounts. It's how they spend it and how they develop Dean Court, their academy and their fan base.

I won't say too much,but I do know the budget for 2012/13 was 5mill.
The losses of 15 mill was everything thrown in.
Literally everything that they spent.
The bid for Wilson was 1 mill.
The same day as Cardiff bid 3 mill for Grabban.
The truth is it is difficult to know exactly what they have spent to get promoted as that is kept under wraps.
One thing is they have an excellent scouting system that is constantly working and looking to improve it's squad.Not many players escape their system of watching and observing.The network is massive.
As for the owner not answering questions over his wealth?
He owns a casino and a house in Sandbanks.
He doesn't want to build a hotel on the stadium as Bournemouth has plenty already.He could just buy one or two or anyway it doesn't matter.
He now has a share in 3 clubs playing in the top flight of their respective countries and he can now invite seriously wealthy friends to invest in his Premier League club.
Maxi doesn't talk to anyone about himself or his family or his business even to those who work there.
Everyone of the management team is on a contract till 2018 and they are going nowhere.

I don't think so, not automatically anyway. Even if we had signed a striker and a defender in January I don't think we would have caught Watford or Bournemouth. It would require a 14 point turnaround, which is 28 points over a whole season. I don't think 2 signings would make 28 point difference to this side, more likely 15-20 over a season.
However we would have made the play offs without a worry, that's the annoying bit!

It would appear that for next season, they will not do anything to the stadium. I find this a little surprising as I thought they were going to try and get the capacity up 15,000. Their fans are expecting season ticket prices to increase to around £700 per season.

Just don't get that when you only have such a small stadium and additional revenue of about £80m anyway. Additional ST revenue is almost irrelevant in the whole scheme.

Bizarrely so many people down here are already complaining about all the extra thousands of football supporters coming down to Muff next season. Of course they have already been playing to capacity crowds for most of this season, like we have. Its a strange town where people constantly complain about everything, including the football team. Fortunately for the club they have a very loyal following who have dug them out of near extinction twice in the last 20 years. The town wouldnt have particularly cared if they had gone bust as the club has always been seen as a bit of an irritant and assumes every visiting group of supporters will behave like Leeds did on May Day 1990. Im sure many of you would have experienced the town's lack of hospitality to visiting supporters over the past few years.
For me, im pleased for those friends who have supported them in the dark days, but being a Bee brought up and lived all my life down here, why couldnt it have been a different tinpot team!

As I have already commented.....they are trying to get to min 15k by altering the South Stand and also trying to get up to 18k by utilising the corners,also the media centre has to be moved as well as cabling etc.

Talking with a few life long fans today and having to be gracious on their promotion (they know I am a Bee). They told me the club have decided to wait one year before any increase in capacity was comtemplated. Personally don't know if any official announcement was made, but these guys felt it was fact. As for season ticket prices these fans pay just under £500 now and appear to accept the price will rise to £650/£700 for premiership football.

Their current cheapest adult st is £480 and the most expensive excluding executive seats is £660.i think a jump from £480 to £700 is too much and way beyond what id be prepared to pay

I have been told by a Bournemouth season ticket holder that there is a very strong rumour going round down there that they have plans to build a new ground on the outskirts of town fed by flyovers from the main road. But the council wants to include use for the hospital. Planning permission may depend on an agreement to do so
