Andre Green

Free agent, still only 22. Left sided player who cuts in on his right. I think he showed potentially a while back but seems to of lost his way a bit, which doesn’t always mean he’s not good enough, however, better what we already have?

Could be a complete bargain if he finds his feet. Had a big reputation as hot prospect a couple of years ago and this could be a good opportunity for him to relaunch

Andre Green

The player by the referee.

Is he a free agent, so could in reality be signed at any time ?

This goal is what always comes to my mind. Not convinced

from 3.43

This is more convincing, which I posted on the old thread

I like what i see,

Andre Green

I reckon the current tag is appropriate. Hopefully something can be done before Reading.

Andre Green

Without wishing to appear negative, he is better than anything we currently have in reserve and has the potential to be as good as any winger we have. I guess it depends on whether we have other plans to improve wide areas.

What we have at the moment does not do anything for me, i reckon the club are of the same opinion.

Seems odd that he'd be a free agent for so long given the apparent potential and tape there is on him. Would be good to get another body in the door but we don't play some of the guys we have in already enough.

Also it could be just a short deal until the end of the season. If he isn't good enough he at least offers some extra legs and we can just bin him off in January or at the end of the season if we can find better. Or he may fulfill his potential with us. We can't lose really.

Andre Green

He has fallen from grace and not got a club for a good reason. His recent loan spells have not been too impressive.

He is at a turning point. At 22 will he drift out of the game or will he realise he’s in the last chance saloon and resurrect a fading career?

He has all the talent in the world. It all depends on his attitude.

I don’t think he’d even had got through the door if we had serious doubts about him.

I’m sure we have some January plans but maybe a short term contract might be the way ahead and be best for all parties.

I may be wrong, but I'm sure he was injured at the time of his release

Andre Green

Then again look at Ghoddos show reel and look at what we have currently . I would sign him if his attitude is right . He’s a good age for developing and obviously has some talent .

I imagine he's spoken to Dean Smith who probably said the same about last chances and hopefully said "go to Brentford, work your nuts off, and if one club can help you resurrect your career, it's them"

Andre Green

Where has it been said that he has an attitude problem?

Having seen him play poorly against us a few times as well as watching him on TV, I wouldn't be massively excited by this signing. Considering he has reportedly done well for the B team though it looks a real possibility so hopefully I am proved wrong.

Andre Green

When he first came on the scene at Villa he looked extremely promising, but then for whatever reason the expected development didn't materialise. What I've read on the Charlton messageboard suggests they didn't really rate him, and I think he was sent back to Villa from the loan at Preston.

Andre Green

The other key question is whether he is fit enough to make an immediate contribution. We don't want another Karelis who took ages to get up to speed and then got crocked.

Andre Green

Ive just emailed a Villa season ticket holder , he said really good player , he didnt want him to leave but he wants game time

Andre Green

Maybe a similar contract offer to the one we gave Moses Odubajo

Andre Green

How long until he is match fit? Does he want a longer contract that we are willing to offer? Who would drop out of the squad depending on the home developed rule?

Might be worth a short term deal but does he want one? And this would show something has gone wrong in our planning as we should be looking to bring in people who have the potential to play a level above, I'm not convinced Green is that player

Beggars can't be chosers.

The fact that he is here, playing B Team (in effect an extended trial), means he doesn't have a lot of options. He not in Barbados on the mobile to his agent debating to take Real Madrid or Barcelona!

The main difference I see between EFL and EPL players is the latter make consistently better decisions. Physically there isn't much to separate them.

I'd suggest a player out of contract in December probably hasn't made consistent good decisions
