The Silver Fox of the GPG
Andy Scott
Things move so quickly in football, that after Scott spoke for the first time about his job being under threat with the defeat last Friday, a week on and he'll be painfully aware that Saturday is not just another game however he dead pans it.
Being bottom of the pack brings all our fears to the surface, and the need for change gathering pace, no one wanted to endure the thought of no play off attempt by the end of Sept and a nightmare of a relegation struggle.
Scott can turn this around, but in truth, he now needs to be a lucky manager, formations and personnel have not been changed quickly enough to affect outcomes of games we were losing in, but he now has being forced to do this from the start of games by injuries. Will we play the same stuff, dinking the balls down the channels, or pass and move through the centre? I see them before kick off, they all have the ability to pass and move, watch them Saturday from 2.20 - 2.40pm! It mostly what they practice!
Saturday will be fascinating, will it be 'no confidence' stuff or 'stand up and be counted' characters, no body really knows. He will know once you lose a section of the crowd, time closes in, only going through the next 3 games undefeated in 7 days will solve this problem.
The crowd will be willing on Saturday but we will be edgy, bottom of the table does that to us. Edgy team, edgy crowd is not good for matchday. Me personally, bring Saturday on as I want to get off the bottom of this bleedin' table as soon as possible!![]()
another good post Mick.C. Scott's attitude would have taken a massive knock the last 7 days, in the long run it might even do him and us some good.
COYR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
