Andy Scott

Andy has said he was less than impressed at Orient this week, presumably there have been a number of games where he had his eyes closed!!

We started at pace against Charlton and it was seen as a "big game" I would suggest therefore that Andy builds up Oldham as we need the same effort, and more particularly the same result.

This has been a very strange season with some decent performances against "big teams" and others that have been quite frankly apalling, it is vital that we build upon last weeks result and I hope that Scott and Bullivant have worked out a system to play should Oldham decide to double mark Weston.

The jury is still out as to the future, everyone would hope that we can get back to coinsistant good performances for the stability of the club however should we lose today then I suggest that the knives will be out big time.

In the scheme of things matches against Oldham dont normally have much going for them however I would suggest that today this match has become extremley important for Andy and us if we are to have any hopes of having a half decent season.

Mr Pipe.
You are probably correct but your long post could have been summarised in 3 words for those of us that like to dumb down the GPG.
MUST WIN GAME !

Andy Scott

Okey Dokey, I have the solution. Big AS just has to convince the side every week that it's a really BIG game, and whoever we are playing are bigger than us, and think they are better in every department. Don't know how this works when we travel to Dagenham.

MUST WIN GAME !

.......................but if he'd done that, he'd have people (I won't mention their names, as I don't want another holiday away from the GPG at this present time) after him, saying that 'ALL games are must-win games' (or conversely, 'There is no such thing as a must-win game').......................

Andy Scott

Perhaps it is more of a "Must not lose" game?

Andy Scott

When you start going 1 up at home and losing 3 1 it has to end. What a waste of a budget. Old legs up front, crablike slow midfield and our 12th right winger. Goodbye Andy, thanks, but we need to move on

Andy Scott

if you reset the poll, i bet the result would be hugely different now

Andy Scott

I really like AS and have stood up for him in the past but the results are not acceptable. I don't know what the problem is but something is clearly wrong. We can beat the likes of Hull, Everton and Wednesday, but lose at home to Walsall etc.

If he does not turn things round quickly I think it will be time for a change. A great shame but that's football.

Andy Scott

Time for Scott to go, a quarter of the season gone and bottom is not good enough regardless of what he has done before!

Andy Scott

I would not get rid yet, but for the first time today I think we could be in trouble. If you are losin to the likes of some of the teams we are regularly at home relegation could well be beckoning. Second half was totally dire today.

Andy Scott

He should have shown some faith in the team that did well last season before demoting half of them.

Andy Scott

defeats to Walsall, Rochdale, Orient and now Oldham = i'm sh*t scared now.

Andy Scott

Tic toc tic toc.............

So can we play our homes games at the training ground, every works there we are told week in week out!!!!

Had enough now, I've tried to stay positive but enough is enough!!!!

What do the figures say, highest position 19th, is this what we expect with the budget and backing we have?

If the answer to the question is no then we deserve an explanation of what is the plan to improve.

SBAR...

We know the situation, we know the background, the assessment should be thorough and the recommendations may be harsh?

Andy Scott

HES done as much as he can.if he walked away now, then he could still have some respect.every week hes losing any respect he has, got to go now, only still in his job beause its brentford,NO F666ING b***ockS, any other team and he will be sacked,by monday morning. FINGERS CROSSED

Andy Scott

After the Charlton game I wasnt totally convinced but today was dire in the second half no guts, determination, desire he had no strategy just put 4 or 5 up there and hoof it. We have been dire to many times this season so for me has to go and quickly before we get in an even deeper hole.

The words HORSE, BOLT and WISE spring to mind now.

Andy Scott

he has to go now. Thanks Andy but no room for sentiment. I dont have tactical nuance but do have many things I dont uderstand

Looking at alexanders face as he walked to the dugouts before KO summed it all up.
He looked as miserable as sin and almost contemptous to us clapping him in the bill axby.
Something is very very wrong behind the scenes and it looks like the team can get to play how they want in the 1st half and can get away with ignoring the crap that scott spouts from the sidelines.
Once he gets into them in at halftime he manages to completely deflate the team and they comeout 2nd half looking like robots again.

In 39yrs of watching i have never found myself in a position where i almost want us to lose just to get this bloke out of the chair.

As far as who takes over,i really don't care as long as their tactics are pleasing on the eye because the stuff i have to suffer now is as ugly as it gets.

Glad i'm not one of the many who voted to give him more time and can't change their vote on this very outdated poll.

Well said mate. I sit in the Braemar side so can't hear all the bilge that comes out of his mouth, all I can see is him getting angry with the players and waving his arms around like a lunatic, he has to go now and take his mate with him. Like you I don't give a flyingfuk who comes in but whoever it is it cannot be worse than we have now. I wish I could get a refund on my seaon ticket

Andy Scott

Watching the first half I'd have said we're on our way back, what did AS say to them at half time? Lads, let them walk through and score after 20 seconds? It certainly looked like it. We had 4 or 5 players not on their game today, legge, woodman, o'connor, Dave and Alexander, with the players we have and the budget, we shouldn't be bottom, we are, I have a feeling AS struggles to manage players, especially if they don't play as he likes them too, this then breaks up the good atmosphere we had and demoralises the player, (all hypothetical I know, but something isn't right) AS has until Peterborough now IMO, failure to win the next 2, I mean win too- no draws, then he has to depart. The pass means nothing, it's now that matters, then it's who to bring in, ray lewington? MA? Untried Dean holdsworth? Who knows, but I bet the next manager gets the better out of our squad than AS has done. The 'ego' has had his time. The cv isn't going to look good, tough, the club is bigger than mr Scott. Ashame he doesn't see that.

not really, the same was said about Rosenior, we all have different views.

Andy Scott

Deano for me. We need some good times, to start scoring some goals.
Or if Andrew Mills can sell our club to him, then Curbishley, though I doubt that will happen.
Please can GPG'ers stop posting Alan Pardew's name, there's no way he would manage us, we're too small for him. It's not going to happen.

Andy Scott

Andy Scott's previous achievements have earned him the right to improve our poor start. However it mustn't be forgotten he is the person who selected which players to bring in this season. He is also the person that selects the team & the tactics. The fact that we currently reside at the foot of the table suggests he is getting it wrong on most if not all fronts.
He has made fundamental mistakes with his signings (Forster & Cort for two ).Whilst he has sent totally the wrong message to his players in the way he has handled the Richard Lee situation.Add to that the fact he has failed to address the need for a "proper" midfielder whilst continuing to be obsessed with a solution to right side midfield have compounded the problem.
I am sorry to say I don't believe he can motivate the players sufficiently to make up for his lack of experience & tactical nous. The cup performances whilst very creditable do not mask the appalling start to the league campaign for which I think he should now pay for with his job.

Andy Scott

As some one posted before.
The look on Alexanders face before the game said it all.
he looked like I feel when I go to work at 5am in the morning doing something I hate.
He just didnt want to be there.
I have been saying this for over a year now Scott has to go.
Why on earth get that Grabban back? havent we enough right sided players.
Though having said that he took them all off second half and we looked awful.
Make no mistake if he stays we are going down.
Wonder what MB thinks seeing all his money wasted

Ray Lewington would jump at the chance. If anyone doesn't think he could do a 1000% better job than Scott just watch the way Fulham play, we can only dream of it..
