Bit of a joke really that a bloke can fight in his first ever fight at the age of 37 and take the best all the way...is fury really the best there is ?

Most of these fights seem to end with someone being unfairly “robbed”..

The judging system is a real issue open to bias ?

I'd say yes if he took it seriously and didn't take these exhibition type fights.

If he sticks to proper boxing and prepares properly he is an excellent boxer.

Fury was never not be given the decision - too much money to be made when he fights Usyk. I've always said Usyk beats him and last night reinforced my view.

Usyk looks vulnerable to body shots and I’d expect Fury to have a much better training camp. Usyk is a very intelligent boxer though and more than capable of getting the win.

I'm wondering if Furys lack of action over the past couple of years might have caught up with him - fighting Chisora and Whyte were always going to be easy defenses. Fury at his best probably wins but Usyk is too good for him not to be at the top of his game.

Cameron v Taylor 2 was very enjoyable.

It’s going to the cards. Probably Taylor by a couple.

Edit - Taylor wins by majority decision. One judge had it 98-92. Absolute b***ocks was Taylor that far ahead.

Yeah 1 judge had it a draw and one by 6 points - boxing is either corrupt or the judges are not very good (or both in all liklihood)

The bloke is a fraud.
He’s now lost to Fury and Parker. He only beats canon fodder. Comes unstuck against decent boxers.

he didn't. And resort to smashing the back of an oppenent's head which would mean disqualification in any normal bout.

Always liked Wilder personally, but of a shame of an end for him but got exposed by some hard work and decent tactics from the opposition.

I don’t want to see Parker fight Joshua next personally, Hergovic would be the right and obvious opponent and then onto the winner of Fury v Usyk?

I feel like Zhang should get a mention in all this too, but maybe his age is the problem

Usyk will easily beat Fury or Fury will pull out of the fight.

Joshua gave some hope last night that he can still be positive in the ring.
80% convincing. Much better than his last 2 fights.

All depends on how seriously Fury prepares. If he prepares like he did for Klitchko or Wilder he should win. That said I really like Usyk, he is classy and will cause Fury all sorts of problems. If it happens it will be a very close fight

Usyk is an intelligent boxer and has the skill to remove the advantage of Fury’s height weight and reach.

However, Usyk did not seem completely comfortable against Dubois and I suspect Fury thinks there is a weakness at body shots.

Yep. I still think a fully switched on and prepared Fury will have enough. I just hope the fight actually happens, fed up of the big hitters finding reasons not to fight in recent years.

That’s the best AJ has looked since he beat Klitschco, with speed and bad intention once again evident in his punches. Don’t get too carried though, his opponent was not much.

Parker v Dubois should be next up with the winner fighting the winner of AJ v Hrgovic for the IBF title. I assume Zhang will be in line for the winner of Usyk v Fury

You say that but the only threat he hasn't fought is Fury. The heavyweight division is full of massively over rated fighters. Parker loses to a very limited Joyce but then goes on to beat Wilder on points and now is a threat again. Dubois loses to Joyce and looks very limited but then gets a fight against Miller who is useless and all of a sudden he is a threat again. Joyce then loses to Zhang and now Zhang is the next best thing.

AJ boxed well and has finished his last 2 opponents. He should fight Wilder as that should have happened years ago.

When AJ fought Helenius he was scared to throw a punch,he was saying to his corner" i can't find the right hand" and his corner pretty much said "that's because your not throwing it",when he did he ended it but he was so worried about getting hit.
Wallin offered no threat and was a mismatch so he was able to bully him.

I think Parker would beat him now and so would Wilder.He wouldn't be able to bully either of them and they both offer a knockout punch,more so Wilder.

I agree though the heavyweight division is the weakest it's been in my lifetime and i'm old enough to have been able to remember Ali from the early 70's onwards.

Yeah the fight against Helenius wasn't great but he did still win by knockout. Arguably it could have been earlier. The biggest challenge for AJ is mentality I think.

I think he beats Parker quite easily to be honest. This is the same Parker who couldn't beat Joyce and since his loss to Dillian Whyte has beaten nobody of note until Wilder. As I say, loads of over rated boxers in the division that then get beat and someone else ends up being over rated. Positive for Parker is his activity. I don't think he has improved a lot and everyone has outboxed Wilder, it's just most weren't able to avoid his right hand. Wilder technically is atrocious and always has been, hence why people like Artur Spilska were able to outbox him!

I think AJ v Wilder should still happen and it will be a big box office hit due to Wilders power. I don't see there being a lot of interest in Parker v AJ, been done before and there are still fights we are waiting for..Fury v Usyk is still the big one that has to happen.

It's a shame but ultimately the more interesting fights are in the lower weight divisions

The biggest shame is the fight on the night should have been AJ v Wilder but the promoters and fighters always want to squeeze out one more payday instead of giving us the fights we want to see.

That's the problem, particularly with the heavyweight division, too many big fights have been avoided in recent years so that more paydays can be squeezed out. I tend to think Usyk is the exception and would take any big fight given the chance.

Yeah definitely. I also think Eddie Hearn has some.cheek coming out after the fight saying the AJ v Wilder fight will never happen after he was just beaten by Parker. He wants to protect AJ from that threat as there is more money in the Fury fight, so hanging on a bit for that one, which I don't think will ever happen unfortunately.

The Wilder fight is a big risk for AJ as he won't gain a lot of credit if he wins following the result against Parker. There will no doubt be rematch clauses, and if he loses then Fury will never fight him

Spot on. I don't rate Wilder but he is the worst kind of fight for AJ for lots of reasons.

It's cack - the same fighters over and over again with only Fury and Usyk being half decent. Add to that the inactivity of Fury over the past few years and it really is the worst heavyweight division I can remember as well - not much coming through either.

Could have called this a mile off - the guy is a joke and so are his fans. Never fought anyone of note in their prime yet his fan boys reckon he is the best of all time ?
