Wasn't Morrison the guy that had HIV, then he didn't, then he did......................

Yes. He was diagnosed with HIV, them got a privates clinic to test him, which he said was negative.

Apparently, a couple of months ago, he decided he didn't need his to take his meds, as as far as he was concerned, he wasn't HIV positive.

I heard about the £26m purse  and it got me thinking. What if the klitschos (sp) were to fight each other. Imagine them scenes!! Have they gone on record saying it will never happen or anything like that? Or is there any other reason it could not happen. I am not an expert so if they are in different weights or something ignore me lol

Boxing

There brothers who love each other reason enough not to fight

Boxing

Yes. I kind of gathered it was their relationship that prevented it but my question is, is it totally out of the question have they stated on record? The Gallaghers probably once loved each other too! :box:

Yep. They stated on record that their Mum won't let them fight each other.

Boxing

I think it's a marketing thing also as they are currently both world champions so both get pick of the draws and money. Fight and nobody would bother with the loser

Here's a quote below.....

Wladimir, 35, is currently recognized as champion by four boxing authorities -- the IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring magazine. Vitali, 39, holds the WBC title belt. The brothers have turned down lucrative offers to fight each other, fulfilling a promise they made to their mother.
“I wouldn’t do it, even for $1 billion,” Wladimir said, stretching out his 6-foot-6 frame (one inch shorter than his brother) on a sofa in the lobby of a plush Manhattan hotel. “You can’t put a price on your mother’s heart.”

Floyd mayweathers share of tonight's purse is £30 mil insane scene's! ! Not bad for a woman beating boxing cheating scumbag, I'll be taking the value on saul alverez and preying for a mayweather defeat. So happy canelo made weight last night after mayweather tried his usual buls@#t trying to stitch canelo up! First boxing match I've been excited about in years tonight :) #SAULCANELOALVEREZ #BEELIEVE

I love my brother but put £10million in front of me and I'd club him to death with a baseball bat and sh*t in his mouth

Unfortunately for you he loves you and won't fight so the above is never going to happen...

Khan v Mayweather shortly to be announced for next May.

lol

Oh dear.

Boxing

Great win for Kell Brook this morning, well worth the early alarm call.
As I've alluded to before, this can be a great era for British boxing and I can see other world champions from these shores adding to the already growing list.
Khan v Brook is a fight that I'll be attending if it comes to fruition.
Well done Kell.......deserved world champion. :sorted:

Boxing

Apparently Eddie Hearn has been in talks with Froch and something will be announced tomorrow. Rumours of a DeGale fight but who knows

Boxing

Carl Frampton wins and is now IBF World Super Bantamweight Champion. :sorted:

Sounds like it was a very one sided fight, but Martinez took everything that was thrown at him and more!

Framptons hands were a bit buggered ater puchung a brick wall for 12 rounds.

Enjoyed listening to the Frampton fight on 5Live. Mike Costello is a terrific commentator.

Frankly embarrassing stuff in Germany. Paul Smith takes Arthur Abraham to the wire and judges score it 117-111 on two cards and 119-109 on another. Ridiculous

Just watched this and that is the craziest scorecard I have ever seen. There was not much in it and I suspected Abraham would be given it by a round or 2 because of where the fight is but the margin of victory on the cards is shocking.

Boxing

I had Smith up by 3 rounds, Abraham did literally nothing from round 7 onwards.

Boxing

Anyone notice how the camera didn't come off Abraham when the bloke was announcing the scores, proper fix. (they knew all along)

Boxing

Had it at a draw and as it is in Germany Abraham takes it by a few rounds as you say

As the old saying goes, you need to knock the other fella out to sneak a draw. Back in the day, Italy was notorious for this, but over the last 20 years Germany and Britain have been quite bad for hometown decisions.

It was close. Boxing being subjective, it depends on what you prefer (accuracy v volume v significant punches)

But that Spanish judge had clearly had his head in the sangria, if he thinks Smith only won one round.

Boxing

Floyd on points is safest bet in sport

Boxing

Bet draw they will want a rematch for another big payday

Boxing

I'm sick of hearing about this in American cultural language, even when all the reporters are British; "here's the in-depth analysis... millions, millions, millions... oh and some semi-literate boxers involved somehow... Las Vegas... millions, millions, millions...".

Why is someone singing the Mexican national anthem?

Boxing

Is it a celeb only event or are real boxing fans permitted to attend ?

Yep. Only 1000 tickets available to the general public. The rest went to celebs and those that are connected.

A fight that boxing fans will appreciate and others won't. Went exactly as I expected. Got to admire Mayweather's skills, if not his personality.

you are my go-to man for boxing opinion sir - what do you make of this Manny injury?? bit worried that his credibility is massively affected. either he's a crybaby or he should've pulled out. bit worried (too) that Boxing in general might have suffered here overall, as this was built up as a mega-fight and turned into a damp squib and a money-grab. but, i don't know much really, so....?

There was too much riding on the fight for him to pull out at that stage.
Something along the lines of the Ronaldo World Cup final scenario (pressure on him to compete).
I think he will get a fine and suspension (which wont matter as he is injured) and a guy has already admitted to being the one that didn't fill the forms in correctly - expect him to go to jail instead
