Will he want to put one over on his Dad on Monday .. silly question I know :)
I was kinda hoping it was one of the questions that was put to him at the end of the game today and on Bees Player, but it never materialised.

Now that he has scored....and a good goal it was I can see him now going on a great run just needed to break his duck

BWP

..............yep.........well worked and well taken goal............

BWP

Bradley Wright Philips.....is bigger than Sean.
Some nice touches today, won a couple of headers too. At least he looks up for it and a nice gesture to throw the Mars bar back to the crowd. What is it with some numpties who throw things at matches. Another even threw his programme when we scored the second and it landed on top of the goal. I know it's exciting when we score but I can't believe anyone gets so carried away that they take complete leave of their senses...do they...really? I recall one bloke chucking his mobile one time when we were in the Wendy House end and then complained when the ball boy retrieved it and refused to hand it back.

BWP

Frustrating player who seems to coast through games appearing not to bother but if he scores enough to take us up, I'll forgive him.

If he really is on £5k pw it must be sickening for the others who actually want to be professional players.

BWP

Thought he had a decent game and he certainly takes it seriously. Glad he got a goal, always nice to get off the mark and we didn't need that dragging on anymore than it has done.

BWP

Glad he finally got his first goal and the match winner. Unlucky with an effort first half the hit the post.

BWP

I like him....lets hope he can now fire us to promotion

BWP

His manager was there watching him this afternoon.

Harsh. Thought he put a decent shift in today.

Ironic post from someone who's in the banking industry.

BWP

Happy he got off the mark today just the boost we need as he is our best option for goals in the run in IMHO

We have seven vital games to play and this type of trolling, does nothing to help the club/team and merely creates issues which we could do without.

If you have to say if he really is on 5k p/w then I wonder if you are trying to convince yourself or other people of this fact.

BWP

Needed a goal to cement what has been some decent enough performances. Yesterday was his best so far.

You can see he is a good player with a good touch and vision.Much more of a team player than Trotta.

Have no idea if we can afford him b ut if so would be happy to see him in the squad next season.

BWP

Looked to be getting into great positions only for the final ball not being there. I thought it was apt that Adeyemi set up his goal as he had been a whisker away from doing that all game. And a well taken goal it was too

BWP

Wins a surprising amount in the air which is an added bonus.

His manager was there watching him this afternoon.

I'm pretty sure Chris Powell would also have been watching Alan Judge of Notts Co (Charlton had an enquiry for him knocked back in Jan).

BWP worked very hard yesterday (as did the rest of the Brentford lads) and he's still not quite up to full fitness. He showed signs yesterday of his confidence returning and I expect him to get a few more goals now.

BWP

Really instinctive finisher...I suspect he only needed one and now he'll look even sharper for the run in

BWP

Thought he had an excellent game yesterday although a few numpties around me didn't seem to agree and were very critical. Hopefully that will be the goal that sets him off on a scoring run.

Should be one of the first names on the teamsheet for the last 7 IMHO.

He's a natural, instinctive footballer who has a swagger and an air of arrogance, who cares if he finds the net and contributes. I think he's got plenty of goals in him and on another day could have had a hat trick.
No defence in this division will look forward to playing against the pace of Clayton and movement of BWP.
I'd rather them than any other pairing in this league.

BWP = DETZI the parallels are scary i know detzi wasnt a forward but came in about the same time of the season

Always surprises me what other people see. Agree with you, thought he was excellent yesterday and the better of the two forwards.

Spot on :sorted:

BWP

Someone behind me was shouting out for BWP to be subbed about five minutes before he scored....and then again about 2 minutes AFTER he scored!! Beggars belief sometimes, TBH!

BWP

Like the player, don't liké the acronym. Looks like a Far Right political party.

I remember the game at GP against Charlton last season, he jogged around as if it was a training ground friendly, yet he popped up with the winner.

I'm sick of seeing untold natural poachers netting goals agin us despite having been anonymous for large percentage of the game.
I've been pleasantly surprised at his workrate, ability in the air and all round team play, who cares whether he's playing for a contract, if he helps get us up he'll do for me.
One of the plusses is having two forwards that defenders are tied up marking as genuinely worried about for 90 minutes. There's goals in this team and that's what all promotion winning sides seem to have.
All the possession and attractive football counts for nothing if no one puts the ball in the net, look at Arsenal since Henry left.

...............Leon bullied him out of the game, until his strike did nothing of note..........

ok haven't seen him play as I'm in Australia but have followed all the post match comments and beesworld and was as excited as anyone when he was signed up. What I would like to know (from someone who has attended games) is what he is giving the team? I am not being negative ...just asking a question as we don't often see it on the post match reports in any detail.

Great to see him get his first goal but am concerned as anyone that it seems our strikers need four or five attempts to knock them in. That's fine if the team are creating plenty of chances but I think we all agree that there will be times when it needs to be more clinical. Whether its BWP or Clayton I don't care and the encouraging signs of a partnership are nothing but positive........but sooner or later we'll have to score when it matters and I am nervous that we'll have the ball for 70% of the game and lose 1-0 on the run in.

Dunno about others but I think he offers a real threat up front. He's clever, instinctive, good movement on and off the ball and is in my opinion the best option I've seen alongside Clayton.
He has struggled to hit the target up until yesterday but for me has looked lively and a handful. I'll leave others to offer alternative viewpoint no doubt .

I have faith in them both...and the rest of the squad..just nervous...always nervous....

I think now he's got his first goal he'll get a fair few more, hopefully anyways :)

BWP

His finishes were class today and showed why he has scored so many goals in his career. The ball dropped to him twice in the box and where anyone else on the pitch would have been panicked he just calmly waited for the opening and placed the ball in the net.

Hope he can carry on doing it now, starting to bring what we thought he would to the party!!

Agreed.

I always thought he was just desperate for that first goal then he would start banging them in

Hopefully he can be the difference between auto promotion and play offs

BWP

Incredible touch, jump and control. Scores with both feet and his head. Apart from the occasional lazy game (when he may have been carrying a knock) he works hard and wants to be involved. Class act.

BWP

...............yep...............terrific game yesterday...............

As well as two excellent poachers finishes, he held the ball up well, won more than he should have done in the air and used the ball excellently. He has to start at Sheffield United IMHO.

BWP

He's an excellent Div 1 player, who doesn't look totally out of place in the Championship. He went a long time at Charlton without a goal so lost confidence, his place in the team and fitness. Motivation has never been an issue....he always does his best but you are now starting to see a fit, sharp BWP. His game isn't purely about goals....he's got a bit more to offer than that. Well done to the mighty Bees yesterday....Griffin Park must've been buzzing!

BWP

Most important thing is that BWP has found his scoring boots at the same time as Clayton and Trotta.
