I wouldn't disagree, personally I'd rather see Moore start than Willock as well.
What I'm saying is he hasn't been the answer either and yet he came highly rated with a proven track record. I'd be delighted if he suddenly got a decent run of games and we saw a return on investment.

Thats the point though, the type of forward available tend to be more Wijnhard types. They are not better than what we have so why bother?

He's had three weeks since the transfer window opened, plus 4 weeks before then to look, and we are still waiting for our Center Forward. You must love going every week knowing we are not going to score and enjoying it, because I don't and it hurts.

Yep good point but their are some that could have done a job, a couple here John Murphy, Wayne Andrews, Neil Harris, Matt Richards. I apologise for jumping in with both feet. Maybe the wait will be worth it.

John Murphy was decent enough a couple of years back but has struggled with injuries. He has signed for Macclesfield where he has been on loan since October, so don't think we missed out there.
Wayne Andrews was signed by Coventry never played a game and is now being loaned to Bristol City, doubt we could compete with them on his signiture.
Neil Harris has been playing pretty much the last 2 seasons as a wideman and is reported to have been on fair wack at Forest, so no doubt Millwall are paying him more than we can afford. Will check that out though as he is friends of a colleague I used to work with.

The one who hasn't gone to Port Vale as Constantine hasn't gone to Barnsley.
Richards looked a right prospect at Northampton but injury messed him up and I can't believe how well he did/has done at Barnsley. Obviously not in their plans anymore.

Harris has not performed at either Gillingham or Forest and is living on his rep from before he was cruelly struck down in his hey day @ Millwall.
Andrews never got a chance to play @ Cov and so how could we offer a deal to someone who hasn't played first team football for a struggling championship side this season.
Jon Murphy may once have been a good shout but again he's plyed his trade up North with unremarkable results and is injury prone.
Not having a go but none of these would have filled me with hope and expectation that they would be any better than we already have. Fact is it's difficult to find a decent striker anywhere, let alone one who wants to join a struggling side paying less money on shorter contracts in an expensive area to relocate to.

If we could get him I'd be delighted but worth pointing out that although he ripped us apart apparently he's only scored twice this season.
Could see him linking up well with Jo but how likely is he to leave one crap side to join another for a short term contract....unlikely

no new striker signing now so i wont go over that again as it's been said already. Tomorrow the front two will be JK and Pillock with charlie on the right wing. That's 2 players out of position. Ide is a striker and Pillock shouldn't be in the team at all as he contributes **** all. I wouldn't be surprised to see spoilt brat skulason in midfield with leary either

What part of 'nobody wants to play for us' and 'nobody except Fitz would take the job on the terms being offered' do you fail to understand? You are making the same point, again and again, on what seems like ten different threads, and do not show any signs of having come to terms with these two fairly significant factors in our current strikerless situation. What is your suggestion now? Not six months ago, not one month ago; now.

I can see what KtofBFC is talking about, many good players or players we are looking for would want to come to Brentford looking at our current position in the table and the wages and also the expenses of living around the Brentford/Chiswick area. However there are players who probably would like to join our club, but probably in contracts etc. All complications, its not easy as 1 2 3.

The problem is us fans were sold the idea by a well known hack that the manager had good list of prem clubs willing to help. I think it was on the job criteria also.
What I had hoped for was the next Defoe, Merson or Stokes.
I am now of the opinion though that our team is so crap, no club would risk sending a decent player to us in case they pick up our crapness.

If we can get a striker signed by Tuesday lunchtime, hopefully that will give the side a lift and we may be able to beat Carlisle on Tuesday, and go into the weekend trying to make it a double. Then anything is possibly, we are not finished yet, close but no yet.

Rip it up and start again.
Agree with everything JT of BFC said, basically we're down, something I thought was on the cards after the 0-4 to Crewe, however much we all wanted it to BU is not working and it's time to swallow our pride and start anew, the club now finds itself in it's worst position on and off the pitch since 1967. I've previously put forward the point to actively seek investors/new owners and as usual as JT says the merchants of doom and negativity hit back with name one person who wants to throw millions of pounds away. Like it or not the only way out of this mess is to take a chance with new owners/investors, ok we take a chance with someone coming in and ripping us off and selling us down the river, (nothing new there then) but as it stands now we're standing on the precipice led by a group of Brentford supporters and before any of you hit back with "what are you doing to try and improve things apart from knocking BU", I am engaged in actively writing to high profile entrepreneurs in and out of football to see if they can help either themselves or with names of people who may be interested in investing, it's not much but it's a start and I think it's a positive one, rather than just posting replies, like " Give it up, there's no potential investors out there", there's no potential investors out there because we haven't F*****G looked for any!
