Yes, he was. But most of the rest of the team didn't turn up. We created nothing all night, were slow, ponderous and devoid of ideas and confidence. This happened in 3 crucial games. THAT is the matter to address, not one lapse in concentration from our best keeper in years.
Based on one mistake, you want him out and a 'more experienced' goalie brought in? Look at some of the rickets that happen in the PL on a regular basis.

He was yeah, but so what? Cairney and Bryan have both since said that him being off his line for deep kicks was something that they'd noticed from their analysis.
We're not going to 'get rid' of a goalkeeper for being outsmarted by a clever free kick, otherwise we'd be changing our team every two months whenever someone ****s something up...

Raya has made some mistakes but has also been fantastic this season. Yes this was a big mistake today but the rest of the team need take the blame on this one.

He made a mistake earlier with that back pass and that header but also made a smart save or two and had safe hands.

Tom the bee... I personally, have no idea whether or not any other top goalkeeper would have been caught out by that audacious free kick. Do you, honestly? I would need to listen to what other keepers say, and maybe study video footage of where they stand individually in similar circumstances. Until then, and even then, I continue to back one of our players of the season.

That free kick was one hell of a shot. Yes Raya left a gap, but his aggressive positioning is part of what has made us so solid at free kicks. It's just one of those things unfortunately.

Yeah agreed, and yeah I can understand people bring frustrated with the goal, but look at it in a wider context. He was actually pretty solid for most of the game and has been very good all season. So much better than Bentley was.

Agree. I don’t think I’ve actually seen a free kick hit that well in that cheeky way since Gary McAllister tried it all those years ago.
It’s not his fault.
I think people forget what having a really error prone keeper is like. Do they want Bentley back? lol

I think what's grated people is the suggestion that we need a new goalkeeper because of it, we don't. He's one of the best in the Championship. This is the ceiling on goalkeepers until we do get promoted one day.
