Just want to say something about Farid. At times the match was played at a furious pace and yes, Farid looked somewhat tired.
However, talk of him being on the bench at first team matches is not misplaced. He almost certainly wouldn't play a full 90 minutes but I'm certain that if he had come on at Coventry instead of BWP then we may have seen a different outcome.

What I can say with certainty is that there would have been no complaints about commitment, energy and a desire to be involved. With the absence of Paul Hayes and the form of our other strikers being self- evident I'd put money on seeing him before very long.
Mind you, I lost money on us at Coventry!

Does anyone know where yesterday's triallist Joey Jones has come from? Tall, athletic and composed on the ball. I assume Josh Rees has returned to the Gunners?

He looked very decent didn't he? Sensible in position, strong shot from outside the box into the side netting and looked to get on the ball as often as possible.

Difficult game for everyone yesterday. Very windy, ground looked rock hard and lots of errors. That said, you could tell that some of our players had some first team experience. Plus, Farid looked a giant against them all! Thought he had a really decent game, was a constant threat and had four (?) headed efforts from set pieces in the first half alone. Game was played at a hell of a pace though!

The win over Swansea left The Bees with 35 points from their 18 games.

With two games remaining they have a chance of finishing in the top two of the Under-21 Professional Development League Two South table.
The top two at the end of the season will go in to the Play-Offs against the teams from the northern league to decide the Under-21 Professional Development League Two winners.

Cardiff are currently top of the table, having played all 20 of their games.

They are seven points ahead of The Bees and Jon De Souza’s side cannot catch them.

Charlton are second in the table, four points ahead of Brentford and if they slip up, The Bees can get second spot with two wins from their last two games.

The Bees are also behind Queens Park Rangers in the current standings but will definitely finish ahead of their neighbours if they win this afternoon and can guarantee third place with two wins.

Adams, Norris(pen) and German were the scorers.

Brighton 2 Charlton 1. Half time score.

We still have a chance of second place, and qualification for the North/South semi-final.

The Help for Heroes Cup tie at Hampton and Richmond on Thursday has been postponed, and will more than likely not got played at all, as their Ryman League game with Canvey Island tonight was postponed due to a power failure and will now be played on Thursday.

Development Squad

Do we win it by default then ;)

Yes - thats what happened in this round as North Greenford forfeited their tie too. Fixture congestion will surely mean H n R will forfeit too as the final is 6th May and this is just the Quarters. Semi final tie away to Hanworth Villa beckons

He played for Oldham reserves on Monday against Man City.

I was impressed.

Although I'd rather take most of Man City's side on loan!

Shame for Griffiths and Redwood, both have talent and have played very well each time I have seen them.
