We do play and train our own. No harm in taking a closer look at other players.

Exactly that. He's probably being released from Arsenal and the club have offered him a chance here to show what he can do and whether he can add to the Dev squad for next season.....

One noticeable element of this campaign at second-string, meanwhile, has been the sporadic game time received by the club’s internally-produced 2010 scholars. Nigel Neita (8 appearances), Samir Bihmoutine (6 appearances) and Josh Rees (5 appearances) have not been used anywhere near as frequently as they would have wished, with players from younger age-groups, particularly foreign talents such as Serge Gnabry and Kristoffer Olsson being preferred. Indeed, Rees has just been loaned out to Brentford’s Development Group to receive much-needed game-time.

Believe Charlton are top so yeah massive game, no idea how many games to go or the points total

I believe there are 20 games per side. We've played 15 I think. On 29 points. Charlton have 33 points after 15 games.
The clubs in 1st and 2nd play the North section clubs who finished in 1st and 2nd in semi finals and therefore a final to decide the overall winner.....afaik!

Big game today. Kick off at 2pm will be heading over after work.

The Bees have 29 points from 15 games and currently sit fourth in the table but have games in hand on the two teams directly above them – Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers, both a point better off.

Charlton are top of the table with 33 points from their 15 games but The Bees will close that gap to just a point with a win.
The top two at the end of the season will go in to the Play-Offs against the teams from the northern league to decide the Under-21 Professional League Two winners.
The Bees were beaten 5-1 in the reverse fixture but will be able to call on two experienced heads for the match.

Club Captain Kevin O’Connor and striker Farid El Alagui are in line to play in the match as they continue their rehabilitation from lengthy ankle and knee injuries respectively.

Because with Lee's shoulder op Gounet is the No.2 at the club and we can't risk an injury in a Development Squad game which would leave us with one fit senior keeper on the books.

Farid and King Kev both played 60 minutes before being substituted. And a face paced 60 minutes it was !

Farid looked very rusty first 30 minutes but then got better and better.

O'Connor (played at right back with marauding forward runs) went into 2 crunching tackles in the forst 20 minutes that will have done his confidence no damage at all - He knows he is healed and now its just match fitness.

Charlton deserved their lead as they played flowing football on the ground. The 1st was a thunderbolt header from a corner and the 2nd I am not sure about as was making myself a cup of coffee.

All in all we deserved the win and 4-2 shows how well we played in the 2nd half.

I got there 10 minutes before half-time, when we were two down.
By the end of the game I felt really lifted! :)
Four fine strikes against Ben Hamer, too!
Some impressive stuff from our lads. Decent crowd, too, in the pouring rain.
Great to see Farid and Kev back on a pitch. They both looked pleased with themselves when they came off after 60 minutes ( when we were 2-1 down)
Some very good performances from the likes of 2 goal Rees, Pierre, Mawson, Oyeleke, and others, although those who saw the full 90 minutes can judge that better than me.
The future looks bright, to me though! :sorted:

Just seen we are playing QPR next Monday. Not been to a development game before and I have time off work next week.

Does anyone know:
1. Will the game be t Griffin Park? If not where will it be?

2. How much is it to get in?

Excuse my ignorance but couldn't see much info on website

points will be deducted when Charlton realise the ages of Kev and Farid . Can we keep Josh Rees for a few seasons with a view to permanent signing........................?

Most are at the Jersey Road training ground in Osterley. As today's game was. 2pm KO. Free to watch. I'd keep an eye on the OS to watch for confirmation.
