I'd already told him I doubted I could get to GP this season. Either he needs a hearing aid or he's thick - he only mentioned it in connection with Lionel Road.
He sounded like a young kid on work experience trying to act like a grown up.

I suspect SH is very ambitious (or at least committed to his career).

And he has time to make up after his injuries.

So I think he will be very open to leaving if a "better" offer comes along.

In which case, I reckon that if we are safe from relegation, but also unlikely to make the PlayOffs, then Mr. Benham will cash in on him (same as with Tarks and Toums).

Which ironically means that we should be looking for SH to suffer a complete goal drought between now and 1st Feb, with BFC losing or drawing lots, before coming back to form and smashing in 20-odd goals in the last four months of the season, up to and including a winning Wembley PlayOff Final. :sorted:

My worry is that if we do sell it will be seen by some as MB lining his pockets again.

Can't see us being "safe from relegation" in January. Comfortable possibly. But not "safe".

52 points by Easter is safe, remember MA time Rushden imploding and losing virtually every game in New Year to be relegated when edge of play offs before Xmas.
Fat Billy Turley in goal and his dealer, man mountain Onandi Lowe up front who couldn't hit the target unless he was chasing it with a baseball bat!

Fair play to Mr Banana for starting this thread. It only takes one seriously pessimistic thread each season to really get the campaign back on track. Last season I think it was VOB who came up with his famous Private Frazer, "We're doomed" thread to see us out of the mire. lol
