Much to my surprise, I have managed to sell Mrs LDB the idea of a shopping trip to Copenhagen, if I can go to one of the champions league home games. Would be great if BFC could arrange some sort of ticketing / travel arrangements #makeithappen

Given the distance from Copenhagen you'll be better off selling a week stay in Hvide Sande (massive sandy beach but very windy) to the Mrs, 90 minutes drive to FCM which is about same distance to Aarhus. We stopped for a pic at the FCM stadium on the way back yesterday.

Where is the picture then? Teaser!

Looks like they were trying to do something in India but have abandoned it. Tidying up exercise.

German press interviewed MB and Rasmus recently and it's been said they are interested in another team, preferably German but Spain may be an option. It's in Die Welt. Liked the quote by MB about one reason for not signing someone would be "if they are an asshole, not willing to learn or lazy". My wife read the article to me - don't have a link.

I'm sure my pic of the stadium is no better than out you can find on the web and I think the other few pics include my wife or kids so I'm not posting those on here.
I would say it's easy to get to, lots of parking and looks smart. The shop and reception area looked good - lots of FCM branding. There's a big FCM badge on the floor. One wall inside has a picture of a player (Kristenson I think) with his games and goals stats and the word LEGEND which I thought was cool. The outside has a big concourse area which I could envisage loads fans mulling about beer in hand. We didn't walk around the ground as two of us weren't feeling too good which was a shame as we had plenty of time

Looks like this could be the link:

but no article as such and my anti-virus software has blocked something - maybe an interview?

FC Midtjylland

Away loss 1 - 0 at NordSjaelland today; this follows last week's home defeat to Brondby. Perhaps taking it easy now, as confirmed Champions; 1 home game left, and 4 points clear.

FC Midtjylland

Won the last game of the season yesterday at home 2 - 1. Champions by 4 points, Europe next!

First European game late July? Doesn't give much of a break. Good luck to them anyway.

On a similar theme I rather liked the huge photos of key goals at the ends of each stand at Bournemouth - all fairly recent so not embarrassing like Leeds' greatest hits film transferred from dodgy VHS tapes of MOTD and Pathe Newsreels.

FCM get either a team from Gibraltar or Andorra in their Champions League 2nd Qualifying round.

Excellent - forgot that was today. At home too so a great chance of progressing one would hope.

FC Midtjylland

Its Home and Away I believe, but they should have no problems against either of those teams

Of course - I knew that too, obviously some form of Monday delusion. Thanks :)

FC Midtjylland

They're in action right now against sk sturm graz and leading 1-0. Bookies had sturm graz as favourites.

FC Midtjylland

So after tonights matches their first Champions League opponents are Lincoln Red Imps from Gibralter.

FYI - I investigated buying one of the rather nice Danish Champions t-shirts from their website. The t-shirt was an ok £20 ish, but the shipping to the UK was £27+
The nice woman who replied to my email did apologise for the price.

This has got to be a suggestion to both club shops... a sort of 'Click and Collect', that means you can buy by entering your Supporter Number and, say, a week later you can collect from the other's club shop. There must be sufficient people going to-and-fro to reduce the shipping cost.

lol, "Rasmus do you mind carrying back 10 t-shirts, 3 signed balls and a Gnome on your next flight".

I'm sure he'd understand the motivational value! (OK, so a weekly postal consolidation may be more realistic.)

Or adjust the shipping to a reasonable fiver....

£27?? Who are they getting to deliver? Personally trained postal griffins??

At the moment Lincoln Red Imps Gibraltar are available for a win at 149/1 on Betfair; 24/1 to get a Draw. Expectations of a stroll in the park for FCM - who knows?

FC Midtjylland

lacking match practice but should still win. Will Sisto play??? as surely that will cup tie him?

FC Midtjylland

Midtjylland 1-0 up at half-time at home to Lincoln red imps

FC Midtjylland

Sisto is playing, and it's no stroll in the park, though they should have 3 or 4 by now

The atmosphere is more like a pre-season friendly than a Champions League qualifier.

FC Midtjylland

Not a great result last night. Obviously a win is a win but bet they were hoping for at 2-3 goal victory at least.

FC Midtjylland

Their domestic season kicks off this Saturday (18th) at home to Viborg FF who were promoted last season.

Hopefully this will help them warm up for the second leg - the next round, if they get there, will be somewhat tougher.

They certainly would have expected a bigger margin of victory than that, but as you say, a win is a win.

FC Midtjylland

When's the 2nd Leg??……
Next week - 21/7

Incidentally their potential next opponents are either Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria) or Milsami Orhei (Moldova) with the Moldovan side bucking the odds and taking a 1-0 lead into their home tie. On paper Milsami Orhei is very winnable.

FC Midtjylland

Thinking about taking a visit to FCM this season. What's the best place to fly into? Stay in Aarhus? Been there before a few years ago for a 3 week stay at the university there when I was an undergrad, nice city... If anyones interested, could meet up and head to a game this season?

Would it then be Group Stages??........

FC Midtjylland

Would it then be Group Stages??........

No, 3rd round (20) then playoffs (10), then group stages where the remaining 5 join teams that came through the league route (non national champions)

The 10 3rd round losers get a playoff place in the Europa and the 5 po losers go into Europa group stage.

It's about an hours drive from Aarhus.
