I hadn't realised how much money they'd made on the sale of Alexander Sorloth to Crystal Palace. FCM paid just north of £300k last summer for him, then sold him 6 months later for £9m! A tidy bit of business for MB and RA.

It looks as though Brondby have the marginally easier fixtures left, but could go either way. Tonight's win away to them was a great result though and kept FCM in the hunt.

Apparently the Danish FA is investigating FCM's final regular-season game against Sønderjyske (18 March) for match-fixing! :eek:

But don't worry, it's the other team who look to have been up to no good, not FCM.

And it's not "match-fixing" in the usual sense of someone giving money to either/both teams, or the referee, in order to arrange a result. Rather it looks as though Sønderjyske "threw" the game, since losing to FCM would mean they would drop into an easier relegation play-off group than if they drew or won.

The two teams were level at 1-1 going into injury time, with the Sønderjyske equaliser having been a tame shot which freakishly deflected off an FCM defender to wrong-foot his gk. And when FCM got their late winner, the Sønderjyske defenders weren't exactly busting a gut to keep it out.

Out of interest if we ever qualified for the Europa and they were also in it the same year...would Matthew have to resign from one of the clubs? I’m sure there’s a rule that says no owner can have two clubs in the same division.

Good news for MB. I wonder if there is significant prize money for winning the league? I suspect the club also earned a bumper bonus clause from the Sorloth deal to Palace once they stayed up.

I just feel that this could be a very exciting and positive summer from BFC with an enhanced and improved squad aiming for promotion.
