Watched this in a pub in Ballycastle (as you do). Not a great game but the good guys won. ? Come on FCM!

I have been there. Ballycastle I mean, not the pub. Nice beach but not much else if I recall. Glad FCM won.

BBC verdict on Celtic:

"To begin a Champions League qualifying campaign with a centre-back pairing aged 18 and 21, no clear first-choice full-backs or goalkeeper, and a striker in Edouard who clearly sees his future elsewhere is scarcely believable in the eyes of most Celtic fans. And that isn't even the full extent of their problems.

The club has no head of recruitment, no sporting director and are attempting their largest rebuild in two decades."

I think it was pretty unfair that Midtjylland did not eben have to play against a pro football team.

Embarrassing for Celtic to lose to a club with an 11k ground playing in a league in a country with a similar population to Scotland and with a MotM recently released by us! Maybe it’s not just about the money in the EPL!

If you play 90% of your clubs minutes in the CL which is band A you get 10 points and another 5 if you get to the group stage.you only get 5 points for the same amount of mins in the EL and 2 more for getting to group stage . ...you need 15 points to qualify for a GBE (work permit )

90% of the minutes that you are available for i.e. Not injured?

Found this on the FA website...

Available Continental Minutes means the total number of minutes (including, for the avoidance of doubt, any injury time or added time) played by the Player’s club (in the group stages onwards) in a Continental Competition during the Reference Period, minus the number of minutes that the Player was Unavailable for Selection.

Unavailable for Selection means the Player was not available to play due to injury, on-field suspension, or the Player’s club not being obliged to release the Player for a Senior Competitive International Match or an International Friendly (as the match falls outside the FIFA international match calendar). For the avoidance of doubt, a player may not be classed as injured (and therefore Unavailable for Selection) if he was listed as a substitute in a match and was not used and such matches may not be eligible for exclusion when calculating the Available Minutes (as applicable). In international competitions where players are listed as substitutes regardless of whether or not they are injured, players may be classed as injured (and therefore Unavailable for Selection) if sufficient evidence is provided of their injury.

I have always gravitated to Rangers, not for all the big, divisive reasons at all, but because I liked McCoist as a player (and latterly quiz show host and pundit) and Gazza, the English GOAT, had arguably one of his best spells of football there.

When Celtic came and behaved so disrespectfully at a friendly at our place some years back, I really started to dislike them alot.

Add to the mix that it was our little bros from FCM knocking them out, this was a great result.

For me, that was the day I genuinely despised Celtic. I will always have contempt towards that club!
