Fans have different levels of support, I think their knowledge of the club reflects that level. I have Brentford tattoos, away day scars, live, breath BFC every day,
check news/media/GPG/twitter every hour every day. I can relate to the vast majority of people on here Knowing they are the same as me. We do have a element that really do not comprehend that we are/could be on the cusp on the greatest era in our clubs history/ our livetime, unfortunately these are some of the most vocal.

Mate, it's what dreams are made of, I won't be missing this one, I will probably give Rotherham away and Charlton at home a miss for the big one.

Good win for them but It'll be a tough ask to get through as a 2-1 away defeat in Europe isn't a bad result in the scheme of things ....didn't like the music after goals though

FWIW I don't think this result does have a negative/positive influence on BFC... whether the involvement with FCM does remains to be seen.

Hopefully there's no more arguing about it though, because I can't be ****ed for fans turning on each other over another team.

If I remember correctly, Matthew said last summer that Sisto would end up at a top European team

On the roundup last night, Slavan Bilic said WHU bid for Sisto but then said his "advisors" recommended he remained at FCM for another year of development and that the player's decision to do that showed a lot of maturity. (Something like that.)

I believe he's chairman at FCM so not involved signing players for them. More of a front man I think.

Not interested really in any other football club bar the mighty Brentford, but going to Old Trafford for the 2nd leg next Thursday, courtesy of a free ticket from a work colleague here
Will be wearing my Brentford top with pride and hoping the under dogs do it and put Man Ure to shame
Just wish I was in the away end ;-)

Yep, and he rejected an approach from West Ham not that long ago as the move wasn't right for him or FCM. It appears he would prefer a move to Spain over England as well.

An intriguing game I thought showing how FCM and MB's philosophies are working and also how ordinary Manu are (this is beginning to mirror the post Busby era). You would think FCM will be overrun at Old Trafford but I wouldn't bet on it. It was good to see the patronising pundits being perplexed at how Manu lost, of course it was all about Manu and their woes and not how good FCM were.

The link between FCM and us and seeing Rasmus fronting FCM is strange but I quite like it. It differentiates us and to me seeing how FCM are doing offers hope for a future that we couldn't even have dreamed of. With all the money pouring into the so called bigger clubs in Europe FCM are showing there is a different way

Didn't watch the game last night, just seen the goals, but the Southampton game looked alot tougher test judging the Man Utd's lineup last night.

The requirements for both teams are different due to style of play and physical and technical demands.

I thought that too, pace on the counter attack. Slightly open in the middle of the park with players swapping positions regularly.

But because players swap often in the middle it's hard for the midfield and defence to mark them as they constantly lose them.

Yeah. United only had 8 full internationals in their starting line-up. :crazy:

We should see Midtjylland as a test market for what we are trying to achieve here in the UK. I watched the game last night and was impressed. The big difference between our two playing styles was limited side balls, they were so direct and that is what we are missing this Season. The pundits were so complementary and of course with mentions of Matt Benham and Brentford, perhaps the Press is beginning to wake up to the Revolution. We should be happy about the association between the two Clubs and perhaps we are seeing the beginning of a closer relationship a la Pozzo family and Watford where players move between their Clubs.

I don't think there should be any player movements other than those between any two clubs; it's not good. Yes, exchange of information about players will be open but anything other than straight transactions that clearly benefit both clubs equally is unhealthy.

Yeah, from an attacking point of view if you get it right it can be very hard to stop. Utd obviously couldn't handle it.

Watford, Udinese and Granada exchange and loan each other players, it's worked for Watford in part. :)

On another point, do Watford supporters go and support or watch either of the connected Clubs, because the Pozzo family owns these two too? :)

I just asked if Watford supporters feel as 'close' to their partnered Clubs as we seem to be? Same as Charlton and their - hated! - owners other Clubs, Carl Zeiss Jena, Alcorcon, STVV and Ujpest.
