FC Midtjylland
First one back it seems 
Beaten 2-0 by Osmanlispor & can have few complaints.
Midtjylland created little, beyond dead ball situations.
The Osmanlispor left back scored twice, the first slotting a rebound from a saved shot & the second fooling the keeper with a free kick shot to the near post rather than crossed a la Beardsley & Scholes in years gone by. Van der Vaert came on as a sub with 15 mins left, knocked the ball about a bit as playmaker, but never reallly threatened to hurt Osmanlispor.
Will try to post some photos tomorrow.

Was noticing this the other day. 4th and played a game more than 5th placed team - may not get a place in Europa next season.
In a slightly wider context - Copenhagen had a really good run in Champions Legue this year and the Danish co-efficient is improving dramatically. Another good year and Denmark may be looking at a second Champions League place in 19/20.

Our latest signing had me checking up on Midtjylland and their thoroughly confusing league structure this season.
Having finished the regular season in 5th place the league was split with the top 6 playing each other twice more each for the title while the bottom 8 play in a cup competition primarily to prevent relegation (but see below). With one match to go Midtjylland are in 4th and have their last match on Sunday against 3rd placed Lyngby - Middtjylland need to win for a Europa place (1st Q round).
Failing this they have the consolation prize of a certain 4th finish and therefore go into the final of the cup competition of the bottom 8 - the prize being the last Europa place.
So basically they need to win this Sunday or failing that the following Thursday (1st June) for a place in Europe next season.

Tougher, not sure about 'much', on paper Midtjylland are clear favourites - co-efficient of 120 vs 304. Derry were 367.

Just go to Budapest and hope for the best. Its an amazing city and you will have an amazing time whether you see the b team or not.

Saving themselves for the Europa Cup match maybe. Was it the usual first team line up?

...and second leg 3-1 for 7-2 agg win and into 3rd qualifying round where they are drawn against Arka Gdynia of Poland. Matches are 27/7 and 3/8.
Arka have a co-efficient of 279 against 109 for Midtjylland so Danes are favourites for a play-off round place.

Pulled it out of the bag at the death. 2-1 in the 94th minute for a 4-4 agg win on away goals.
Play off draw tomorrow for which they will be seeded (just).
