oh dear..Fifa paid the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) to stop legal action over Thierry Henry's handball in Ireland's World Cup play-off defeat by France in 2009, it has been claimed.
FAI chief executive John Delaney said the association believed it had a legal case against Fifa.
A fee was then agreed to drop the claim, Delaney said, after Ireland missed the 2010 finals in South Africa.
The fee was believed to be 5 million euros (£3.6m)
oh dear..
Warner says he will tell all...implicating Blatter and others as well it seems....wonder if he has done a deal with the Feds?
Every man for himself it seems....
FIFA state that they made a "loan" of 5 million dollars to the FAI (to help with building a new stadium) which was payable back IF Ireland qualified for that world cup!
This is getting messy now!

FIFA said it was refundable if they got to the World Cup, what I don't get is, they got knocked out?
I believe a condition of the "loan" was that it was to be paid back if Ireland failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup Finals.

Not according to the FAI.
from your link
FIFA said the money was "a loan", which was intended to be paid back if Ireland qualified for World Cup 2014. The loan was subsequently written off.
Warner will grass everyone up in an attempt to save his own hide...hopefully it won't wash with the Feds and he does some serious bird.

Now it's Morocco won the rights to the 2010 WC and a latter had the votes changed!!!
Remarkable!
Sepp Blatter postpones bidding process for 2026 World Cup to appease UEFA nations who may defect from FIFA allowing them to bid for the tournament.
That has pissed off the USA who were likely to be the main bid.
Maybe Blatter is a tad miffed with the USA given recent events?
 The last chance for the arrogant **** to flex his muscles.
Theyve nicked Sepps computer now ,I wonder if he had time to ask it to be wiped clean?
FIFA spent about $20m on this little vanity project too

A vanity film about the history of Fifa has flopped in the US, taking just $607 (£397) in its opening weekend.
United Passions was funded by about £17 million of Fifa cash, and was completed before corruption charges were made against 14 of its officials in May.
Starring Tim Roth as Sepp Blatter, the hagiography of football's governing body has had damning reviews.
The Village Voice called it "not merely ham-fisted, but pork-shouldered, bacon-wristed, and sausage-elbowed".
The Guardian added that "as proof of corporate insanity it is a valuable case study."
The movie's budget was estimated at between $25 - $32 million (£16 - £21 million), with Fifa said to have put up about three-quarters of the money.
It debuted in the States on Friday, on just 10 screens.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the FilmBar cinema in Phoenix reported takings of just $9, meaning only one person bought a ticket.
what a cracker...lolFifa communications director Walter De Gregorio has been sacked after sealing his fate with a joke about the governing body on Swiss TV.
Gregorio told Swiss chat show Schawinski: "The Fifa president, secretary general and communications director are all travelling in a car. Who's driving? The police."
Blatter and two others "awarded" themselves 55million swiss francs in bonuses

Did Infantino know about these payments? Wasn't he director of Legal Affairs over the period in question?
