First ever game

Brentford 2-0 Bradford 28/29th December 1993, Ratcliffe and Smith scored, so I've been going for 10 years now

First ever game

First game I went to was England u21 vs Ireland u21 3-0 at GP to England. First league game I went to was sadly QPR vs Derby at Loftus Road and I hated every minute of it boring with no atmosphere. First bees game was Brentford 1 Crewe 0 with I believe Simon Ratcliffe scoring (not sure but I know it was someone who scored their only goal for the club that day) in 90/91. Went to every game the following promotion season and have been hooked ever since.

First ever game

my first ever game was wimbledon vs arsenal back in 92/93

first ever bees game was on 17/12/94, a famous match - brentford 7 - 0 plymouth argyle lol

First ever game

it was in aout 1987 at griffin park and i was standing in new road as a 9 year old or maybe it was 88 i forget but it was england under 17's vs brazil under 17'si think. i got the programme somewhere

First ever game

My first ever match was in the 1994-1995 season, the year that the super spireites got promoted by beating bury in the final of the play-offs 2-0!

I think the first match i would have gone to, was the town mansfield game at saltergate!

First ever game

My first ever match was Palace v Liverpool in 1981 at Selhurst. 0-0. Only thing I remember is David Fairclough coming on in his customary role of super sub....

First Bees match was a home game against Bristol Rover in '83

First ever game

My first actual game was qphaha v everton in 1994, i was shamefully taken my qphaha supporting uncle and dad, thats my problem my whole family supports qphaha but i soon came to my senses,

First bees game, (proper football)

I recall that one (I think it was actually 2-0), not least because the on-loan Shay Given, then at Blackburn, played an absolute blinder for them, and I went away saying he will be a great keeper someday. I think Swindon strolled to the title that year.

i too made my debut at Selhurst (blame my dad), Palace 2-1 Swindon, Jan 21st (?!) 1989, Steve Foley scored for Swindon and Mark Bright got 2 in a minute for palace

(oh my god why do i know that?! how come i can remember things that happened 15 years ago but not what happened 15 mins ago   )

GP debut was Brentford 3-3 York, late fightback capped by Asaba?? My mind plays tricks on me, but i think it was 1997? Stood on the Ealing, the good ol' days....

First ever game

1976 Bees v Southport - not sure of the date

3-0 to the bees -

Roger Cross, Terry Johnson, Jackie Graham I think scored our goals that day.

Re: First ever game.

The first one I remember going was at Godalming & Guildford in the Combined Counties League, no idea who they were playing or what the score was, but I know it was September '94 and I paid 50p to get in!

First Bees game is harder - my first game at Griffin Park was the Camberley FA Cup game in '99, but I was cheering Camberley, so I'm not sure if that counts or not. I only got into watching Brentford this season really.

Re: First ever game.

First time I saw Brentford play was at Plough Lane in 1980 and we lost 2-1. I was three years old! Been a regular ever since, even bunkin off school for Friday night trips to Chester! Nice. The innocents of youth.

Now I should know better but I still keep on finding myself stood at GP or on a train to some northern backwater.

Its Brentford innit.

Re: First ever game.

Bees V Shrewsbury Town,I think in 92.

We won 2-0,although I couldn't tell you who scored

First ever game

My first ever game was Brighton v Cambridge...at the Goldstone ground

old 2nd division...circa 1977/78 season

0-0

I was around 7/8 years old, and stood on a box, that my uncle gave me

crowd trouble, all terracing, a rush on the police and seagulls everywhere..

dont remember any of the football though !

It was the Brighton team of Teddy Maybank, Peter Ward, Brian Horton ?

First ever game

Ashamed to say but....

I think my first game was QPHA 7-3 SHREWSBURY and my 2nd game was 1st league cup final at Wembley (QPHA 3-2 WBA).

Ist Bees game was 1974. A 1-0 home win v Swansea and I was hooked. The Royal Oak end appeared to be massive then!!!:sorted:

Following week I went to Chester 2-0 Bees where I got soaked, train was delayed on way home, dinner was burnt and I missed match of the day!!

In fact, I went to 19 away games before I saw Bees get a point (1-1 at Workington)!

Ironically, my first away win was at Workington 3-1 where I got pelted by bricks.
WELL WORTH IT!!!!

First ever game

Freight Rover Trophy Final in 1985 - thanks Brentford.

First ever game

I believe my first ever full Bees game was

Southend vs Brentford at Roots Hall.

I think that was 88-89 or 89-90. Last day of the season and we beat them which cost them the championship. Cue hundreds of Essex lads running on to the pitch to confront us. I can remember a fan wielding a corner flag to this day.

My other earliest memory and possibly first game ever is

Welling Utd Reserves vs Brentford Reserves. No idea what happened!

That was a great day out!

Followed by Tranmere in the play offs i think? not so much fun.

First ever game

Well, if we're doing first away games then I'll play.

Fulham away 2-2 Blissett sent off for punching Fatty Stannard. Terry Evans scoring a diving header in front of the away end. Dark blue/ light blue away shirt. Christmas time 1987. All good stuff (but maybe not correct).

First ever game

Oldham away in the Third Round of the Cup in the early eighties. Absolutely fecking freezing. We lost. Sorry ignore that, it was in fact the Forest cup tie. Doh! Oldham was second.

First ever game

I don t know the first game that I went to ,but it was most probably a Brentford reserve game. The first games I remember going to were away to Mansfield and Aldershot in the 1962-63 season, and of course that fantastic last game of the season, Workington at home ,4-3 win and Brentford champions.
Now Im back where I started:(

First ever game

Mine was Brentford v Darlington in the old fourth division in September 1970, John Docherty scored the goal in a 1-0 win which was the first of the season after a terrible start to the league campaign. I can remember walking up the steps from the turnstiles onto the New Road terrace and seeing the vast green lush turf and the pitch looked huge!

The first evening match I saw was a couple of months later when West Ham came to Griffin Park for Peter Gelson's testimonial. However, another evening match in the same month I believe (against Colchester) gave me one of my best earliest memories when I was stood right at the front of the New Road terrace, peering over the little white wall and Brentford full-back Dick Renwick tackled one of the Colchester players with such venom that he came right over the wall and landed right next to me on the front of the New Road terrace.

Whatever happened to the Dick Renwick's of football...

First ever game

Mine was 1957-58 Season 2 all draw with Bournmouth and Boscombe United the old Third Division South.
