It didn’t get any better that season mate but what a great first game. It was also the same game that Jackie Graham chinned one of their players who was pushing him in the defensive wall he’d backed into. There was chaos for about two minutes but ref and Lino didn’t see and Jackie had wandered off up the pitch so no action taken!!!!!

The first match was Chelsea 1-0 West Ham in the Carling Cup at Stamford Bridge 2004. I was 7 but didn't get hooked... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/league_cup/3947055.stm
First Brentford match was a 5-0 win over Walsall in 2006 (our first game without DJ Campbell). I was 8 and got completely hooked.

Think I've missed about 6 competitive home matches since.

Unlike Notts County a few years back, who arrived late but were given all the time in the world by the ref to prepare rather than being made to get on with it. Game didn't kick off until about 3.30 IIRC, or is my memory exaggerating it?

It was Lincoln in 2008. Bloody Linington gave them as much time and more as they wanted.

Must have been in about 1995 for me. No idea what match. All I vaguely remember is being in the family area of Braemar.

It was Tranmere at home at the end of the 91 season, but annoyingly I can't remember if it was the last league game or the opening playoff leg. The next season was very memorable though :). Hooked for life.

Not sure exactly around 76/77. Teams like Exeter city Mansfield Macclesfield and Blackpool I think.

I'd have been no older than 5 at the time (pre 1960) All I can remember is sitting in Braemar Rd seats with my dad who normally stood on terrace with family and mates. The opposition wore blue shirts and white shorts and I thought the idea of the game was to kick the ball and try and get it to stop dead on a white line! The goals were to keep the ball from going in the crowd! Not sure when I actually understood the real purpose of the game but something must have clicked cos I clearly remember the 1958/9 season.

March 1980, 0-1 to Rotherham and Steve Phillips missed a penalty in front of me in the Royal Oak.

Was hooked and started going to most home games. Took until September of the next season for me to see a win!

Lived near Millwall but parents wouldn't let me go for obvious reasons. Disappointed at the time but so glad now. Was worth the bus trip to Waterloo and then the train to Brentford every other week.

Remember on the visit from Colchester '57 I think, that they brought a little terrier with them decked in blue and white, and it did tricks at half time.
