Have a look at scorecard from One Day Cup Final
Leics 89 for 6 off 21 go on to win ?

Couple of good games today.

Asia Cup Final between India and Sri Lanka, and the fifth and deciding ODI between South Africa and Australia.

Aussies have already burnt a review in the first over, and now Bavuma, who was nursing his ribs after being hit has been run out by miles.

Another big player going down, on the eve of the World Cup.

Australia's Sean Abbott just gone off with a finger injury.

I don't think Australia were resting there hopes on Abbott.

That said I don't see them doing much at the world Cup. Batting is too Conservative and outside of Cummins and Starc, there bowling is limited.

Abbott came back on and bowled, so may well be ok.

Asia Cup Final all over already.

SL 40-8.

A mixture of good bowling, and some very poor bowling.

Six wickets for Siraj.

India going to do it in about 5 overs.

Pure nostalgia ?

I was first introduced to cricket listening to Jim Laker in the '70's on BBC TV...what a voice! (And what a cricketer!)
He died way too young in 1986 through gall bladder complications; his ashes were spread at The Oval.

Australia are going to get pumped at the world Cup. Awful ODI side.

Reports suggesting it's going to be Sir Alastair Cook's last first class game today.

Surprising how bare the bowling cupboard looks. Broad gone, Jimmy and Woakes in their dotage, Topley, Wood, Stokes, Archer unreliable due to injury. We have a big gap between our experienced and inexperienced players at the moment and I expect us to decline in all formats over the next 3 years or so until newer players come in.

The problem comes from grass roots colts cricket - kids dont want to be bowlers who get smacked for 50 in 4 overs, they want to be the ones doing the smacking.
Thats the issue with all the bang bang cricket we have, its so heavily favoured towards the batsman, nobody cares about the bowlers - in T20 , if somebody scores a hundred its talked about but if somebody takes a 5 fer (a lot more difficult) its barely a footnote.

Yes, the game is a little bit twisted when 1-20 is considered better than 4-40.

Sri Lanka Cricket suspended by ICC board.

Just possibly after the word “Cup”.

I thought that would be more original than the typical “that aged well” response…

Kookaburra ball going to be used in 4 matches not 2 next summer
All down to Strauss

Surrey didn't win either of the 2 games I think

And the draw in County games going back to 8 points having been dropped down to 5 last year

Far more dramatic than the World Cup.

The Umpire would have been all over that, on a real wicket, running down the middle of the wicket

I've never found slow over rates much of an issue to be honest. In a world that always seems in a rush, a bit of meandering is sometimes a relief.

Matches in the IPL and T20 internationals in India seem to take a lot longer than the equivalent in England. I think I read it's not uncommon for an IPL match to take over 4 hours?
Happy to see something try and get what is meant to be a quick format moving.

A bit surprised that England ODIs in Windies aren't on Sky.
First one today.
Have TNT got coverage??

Presume Sky have India Test series??
