First ever trip to Cheltenham for Festival.
Day 1 of Gloucs v Worcs.
Lovely setting!!
3 hours of decent cricket, before massive downpour meant close of play announced at 15:30 with Gloucs on 107/5.
Retired to the local for refreshments....
Still damp.....

12 times apparently - includes Ashton Agars highest ever score for a number 11 of 98

So much for them having no curfew - I get that they are targets for drunken idiots trying to pick a fight with a 'celebrity' but that is half the reason that they shouldn't be in nightclubs in the first place.

Too many incidents are happening so the ECB need to crack down properly this time.

Hampshire have signed on the quiet, New Zealander Scott Kuggeleijn. It would be the bare minimum to say he has a troubled past.

KP had an elite mentality when he was playing, he was able to perform under high pressure, I'm not sure Buttler has shown the same mentality.

Buttler has won the Blast, IPL, World Cup and T20 World Cup (whilst being Englands captain and top scorer).

I’m not sure what that it if it isn’t an elite mentality.

Somerset on course to beat Leics.
Notts v Hants looking closer, but could be going into the last 2 games of the season with a 3 team race for the title........

Warwicks: 184 points (Played 12) to play Essex (A); Leics (H)
Somerset: 167 points (Played 11) Yorks (A); Surrey (H)
Notts: 163 points (Played 11) Sussex (A); Yorks (H)

Somerset win by 377 runs. 189 points now.
Hants 27 for 5 need 151 to win. Unlikely which means Notts would have 185 points.

Watching the Test match, and and noting comments about the "unlucky" ways Gay has been dismissed (run out, shooter) and the wickets Atkinson "should have had" (dropped catches etc.), just wondering if cricket stats have an xG type equivalent, for "expected runs" and "expected wickets", that take these type of things into account.
Probably even more important to consider these anomalies in cricket, as they can be more accurately attributed to individual performances. And I'm guessing "stats" are used by selectors to a lesser or greater degree when reviewing how players have been performing.
