But not if it breaks the Bank, he is good but not in my opinion the best centre back we have had, if we can extend his loan with not to much outlay then that will be good business, equally if we can transfer him at considerably reduced wages that will also be good.
however if we have to spend a lot then, again, in my opinion it will not be money well spent as johnson can play in that position with Philips and I have to say that whilst he has been excellent his distribution is about on par with that of Karleigh and I am always worried that he is likely to give away free kicks in and around our area with his permanent shirt pulling. I would add that this is not a snap view on Saturdays game but rather one that has increasingly built up watching a number of games.
I would love him to stay but we have been down the road of silly money to keep players in the past and I would hope that those who hold the purse strigs will bear the past in mind when agreeing to the future.
