I'm sure I heard in the commentary on yesterday's game that they do have Ben Haim on trial... or was that a joke?

Joe Cole to join......I wouldn't be at all surprised if he did keep them up, depends on what happens this transfer window but as I'm sure Fernandes will go for broke as they don't want to drop out of the league just as the money is almost doubling

They need something like 28 pts from 18 games. So having won only one of the first 20 games, they need to win at least 7, probably at least 8, of the last 18. Hope that is beyond the, though Reading, Southampton and Villa all look poor enough to reduce the target for safety

What Jermain Defoe who is one of the leading scorers in the Premiership from a side in the top 6 who only have 2 recoginsed strikers.

He's totally f***ed up taking this job.
With the credit he had accrued from managing Spurs, he could have sat it out for a better position rather than a poxy 18,000-suppported Premiership club run by a clown.

I suspect Fernandes is paying him a nice salary with some tax free bonuses for his dog.

In his position, he has to look beyond just the salary. Anyway, he'd get a decent salary at nearly all the Premiership clubs.
It wasn't long after he took the QPR job that Abramovich fired Di Matteo. Can't help wondering if he could have got that job.

Except that that is wearing a bit thin now, isn't it? Conceding four at home to a Division One side - not sure he can pass all the blame on to Hughes, though I admit Sparky certainly dug the grave and 'Arry can't seem to climb out of it.

Have to say ive followed Harry's career for some time as I knew him and the family when i was in my teens, and have to say yesterday was the angriest ive ever seen him. Hes usually very matter of fact. I dont get this 'he ruined clubs with his spending', surely its up to the owners in the first place how much money they give him , If i was given a shed load of cash at work to go and improve performances now, i would have spent it all too. The fault at those clubs lay with the glory seeing owners.

Nick, IMO all he can do is buy really good players and if you do that, they will sort it. Ask him to manage what he's got and he's lost. His tactical nous is poor. All IMO of course.;)

Disagree with that which is why I was aghast when talked of for the England job

He is excellent at man management knows when to put an arm round a player and when to get out the hair drier. However in a lot if cases he has got older players on big bucks and long contracts

Whilst Spurs fans were not happy when he left the more astute amongst them agreed that tacticly he was poor and could not change a game when it was going wrong

Claims in his autobiography that the people running the FA don't have a clue who the best man to manage England is. He would have made Brendan Rogers his assistant had he got the job and that senior players texted him saying they wanted him to get the job.
