World cup final is 19/7 and first league game next season is 22/8. Hopefully Furo is up and running a bit more next season or we need some help for Thiago as he won't get much rest this summer

Slightly off topic too -

But whilst absolutely Thiago should start as Brazil’s no 9, why not take Pedro too?

15 goals this season and yet Martinelli gets in.

Makes no sense

Martinelli is a winger

One plays for the Premier League Champions and the other plays with Liam Delap....

Delighted for him and also its the ultimate feather in our recruitment cap and perfect sell to any potential signings.

An unknown in the Belgian leagues, to second top scorer in the Premier League going to the world cup with Brazil.
Bricklayer - Bulgaria - Belgium - Brentford - Brazil - world cup

Translation:

Igor Thiago had been 12 months without seeing his mother, and ESPN prepared a surprise 👀

He gave an interview talking about his family and was surprised with his mother in the background.

Besides being a heck of a player, he also seems like a great person. What a moment! 👏🏼🇧🇷

Fan Mail: Igor Thiago is surprised by his mother from Brazil

Make sure you're in an appropriate place to have a little cry before watching.

At a game in Bukhara, Uzbekistan tonight & a fan came up and pointed at my Brentford top shouting "Thiago, Thiago". Clearly making a name for himself on the global scene, but we knew that already.

He’s completed his first season in the non-stop mayhem of the Premier League, 38 games. I’d say he’s suffered from mental exhaustion in the last few weeks. Travelling – and potentially playing – with his national team is not going to help, so he needs to be treated carefully before nest season starts in anger.

Sounds like a reason for the return of Maupay, take the heat off whilst IT has a test 😀😀😀

Keith has regularly said that he is always trying to stop him training as he’s so enthusiastic.

I’m so pleased that he’s managed to complete the season without any major issues and has made a name for himself and been rewarded with the accolades he thoroughly deserves.

Personally. I think he’s been a 7 out of 10 player this season. I’m not criticising him, I mean that there is so much more to come from him. Even though he’s had two years at the club I expect him to get even better, getting more familiar with how his teammates play.

We have seen this kind of development with players like Bryan and Wissa where they develop good personal relationships and push on from what they have learnt from previously playing against some of the best defenders in the world.

Him going to the World Cup is going to increase his confidence and push it up to a new level; we have seen it with both Bryan and Dango when they returned from AFCON.

How much playing time he gets at the World Cup? We will have to wait and see, but I hope that he remains fit and healthy and returns to Jersey Road ready to embark on the next chapter of his career.

Been wonderful this season for 75% of it, absolutely burnt out by the end of it.

Think we need to remember his 20 goals in 30 games rather than his exhaustion end of the season.

I'm certain he'll be here next season, Vamos!

Igor Thiago

Since his initial call up to the Brazil national team he has not been as clinical in front of goal, with one of the only non-pens scored being a ricochet off his back. A few times it has looked like he has been over thinking his options when he has had good chances, where earlier in the season he was finishing instinctively. Maybe a mixture of tiredness and added pressure as he has been playing every minute in most games.

Igor Thiago

I know that, but they’re already bringing Vini Junior, Rapinha, Neymar. Cunha could even be deployed wider if need Be.

For Pedro not to be picked with those numbers is kind of crazy
I suspect Brazilians selected Neymar for Ancelotti

On the bench tonight v Panama - #25
Cunha starts - #9

Igor Thiago

Hopefully we see Igor get some minutes. Asides from Vini, their attack looks rather toothless.

Igor Thiago

He's already given them an edge! A man blessed with the composure they're missing and he's getting into some lovely positions.
