Indeed. Such a shame that it never quite resulted in promotion. Who could have guessed what would happen at Bramall Lane, followed by the dismal performance at the Monkey Hangers and the final regular home game of the season? ?

Watching Top of the Pops 1984 yesterday i was briefly inspired for another song for Igor when Black Lace appeared 'singing' Agadoo.

Only got the first line though... Thiiii- a go go go...

Very good. Replace line 2 with 'always head straight to the goal' and line 5 with 'and always a Bee-ee' and it's perfect. ?

Given the speed of the signing from CB, I’d guess we’d been tracking him for at least a couple of years, as we seem to have done with a lot of our signings. It’s entirely possible we first started while he was a youngster in Brazil.

So you think I'm wrong and the Fiorentina players, particularly Belotti and Dodo, always stayed on their feet and were never looking for a foul from a very weak referee? Fair enough pal, you watched a different game from me, but I guess we all see things differently. I've watched a lot of Club Brugge this season and what I saw in that game was one honest hard working team, and one team throwing themselves to the floor, gesticulating to the ref, and trying to get the opposition yellow or red carded. I'll let everyone make up their own minds who the stereotypical diving cheats are but in my opinion Fiorentina very much played the part of an Italian team.

He has definitely got potential. I just hope the fans give him time ? I think like all our European imports it’ll take him a season to get up to speed from what I’m seeing at the moment.

Club Bruges was founded by British students I think.Thiago seems to hold it up well and is very strong.not too sure about his touch though as needs some work

Years ago when I was over in Bruges a fair amount, they simply adored English football and the hooligan culture. A lot of Bruges fans would have an English club as their man club. Wouldn't be surprised if the flags are based on that history

Fiorentina were much the better side and deserved the win as they also got the woodwork three times.i don't think that would have been a pen in the PL.Thiago didn't get a touch in the second half. Tbh didn't look like a £30m player to me
