He was pictured on the grass albeit not in group training so I assume he wouldn't be doing that with crutches....I suspect we will be taking things slowly so I'd be surprised to see him in a squad before December to be honest.

Frank Beard. Dunno whether he ever grew one at some stage, but usually clean shaven,

Not much difference between the Bulgarian League and the Belgian League, big step to the EPL.

Not sure I agree with your league rankings but will accept the whoosh if I've misunderstood your comments mate. By the way the difference is 20 places which is the equivalent of the Premier League to Serie B in Italy.

Record signing, never played at this level, out injured for months. Yet many seem to think he'll be straight in, holding it up, scoring, muscling others off the ball and picking all 6 lottery numbers. Every week.

Hope all that happens, but it's going to take at least a few months.

It’s a fair point made by yourself and @maddogging although the ability of our defence and midfield to take some real care with their passing in an attempt to string together at least half a dozen of them would also have been helpful.

One of the things Ivan used to do so well for us wasn’t just holding it up, but drawing fouls, getting us breaks in play to calm ourselves down and get a grip. Just someone with some sort of presence would be a huge help, the goals don’t have to come immediately with Thiago as we know we have others that can provide that, but the ability to put himself about will be a huge help, especially on nights like tonight when we seemed intent on giving the ball away at every opportunity.
