Igor Thiago
One excellent piece of hold up play near the end. Ploughed a lone furrow up front with little service and support
Even if he wins it or holds it up no one was running beyond him or close to him. It will be a different story with pace around him.One excellent piece of hold up play near the end. Ploughed a lone furrow up front with little service and support
Also with others who can win the ball and he can run off sometimes.Even if he wins it or holds it up no one was running beyond him or close to him. It will be a different story with pace around him.

We all desperately want Igor to do well. Of course we do. At the moment he doesn't look to be PL ready. Honestly though, he got FA support today.
His performance against Newcastle last season, showed he has those attributes. I’m confident that with Damsgaard & Schade playing alongside he will deliver. Not impressed with him today nor any other game I've seen him play for us, doesn't look like a PL striker to me. Hopefully it'll change the more he plays . Still 100% record with shots on goal in his time here
Exactly this, he also got way more involved in the last 20 mins with better support and looked sharp. Poor team performance but could have had a brace away from home.It was simply a strikers performance.
Got no service.
Got no support.
Chipped in defending.
Nearly scored from the only chance he was given but for a last ditch goal saving block.
Scored his penalty.
Couldn’t ask for much more when he has nothing whatsoever to work with.
I thought it was a crap penalty.Penalty apart thought he was very poor today
Harsh. I thought it was super cool and went exactly where he wanted it to. Bang in the middle.I thought it was a crap penalty.
I thought it was a crap penalty.
Well, he would have done well to achieve that today.I had him down as runner onto Damsgaard assist. Looks like I have that wrong
yep. No reserve cf apart from possibly Morgan for early rounds of the cups. One other worry at the moment with him is he is going to have to play 38 x 90 minutes as it currently stands.
He hasn't shown much at all, but he's literally just starting back up after a long term serious injury.Want it to work , people saying nothing offfered to him but he lost 9 headers today.
Definitely need another forward, not necessarily an out and out number 9, as I believe Outarra can play through the middle as well.yep. No reserve cf apart from possibly Morgan for early rounds of the cups.
Need a B++ young striker as cover or an old hand like Mee or Henderson but, obviously, a cf.
Dango played centrally quite successfully for Bournemouth last season whilst Evanilson was out (it was from there he scored his hattrick against Forest I believe) . Schade could play there too, even Carvalho perhaps as a false 9. I think our cover through the middle is ok, but we do need another attacking player - after Schade, Thiago, Dango and, arguably, Carvalho there's quite a drop off in either quality (KLP) or experience (Nunes and Donovan).yep. No reserve cf apart from possibly Morgan for early rounds of the cups.

You counted every header lost ?Want it to work , people saying nothing offfered to him but he lost 9 headers today.

It was a sh*te pen....I've been consistent from the beginning with all the cameos I've seen I don't rate Thiago and he's a not a £35m striker ?I thought it was a crap penalty.
Judging him after 2 full games and a few pre season games hmmm maybe judge him after 10 or 15It was a sh*te pen....I've been consistent from the beginning I don't rate Thiago and he's a colossal waste of money ?

It might of been all of those things but Sels was fooledI certainly wouldn't rush to judge him like that but I agree that I don't like him on penalties. It was predictably awful. I watched back a lot of those he took for Brugge and many were similarly unconvincing. His technique is agricultural. A world away from Toney and Bryan's.
Jet lag from flight up there ? ?Want it to work , people saying nothing offfered to him but he lost 9 headers today.

We haven't got Ivan or Bryan now so someone else has to step up. Judging by that cup game, there's several players that can take a decent penalty.I certainly wouldn't rush to judge him like that but I agree that I don't like him on penalties. Seems I'm the only one that thought the penalty was scored exactly how he wanted. Bang in the centre of the goal.
Same for any penalty that hit down the middle. The majority of goalkeepers will dive one way or anotherIt’s where he wanted it to go, but he would have looked like a proper ? if the goalie hadn’t of moved.
It was the safest place to put the ball to get it on target. IMO, it was a penalty of low confidence and nerves.Seems I'm the only one that thought the penalty was scored exactly how he wanted. Bang in the centre of the goal.
It wasn’t far from hitting Sels foot thoughSame for any penalty that hit down the middle. The majority of goalkeepers will dive one way or another
If that was the case he would of smashed it row zIt was the safest place to put the ball to get it on target. IMO, it was a penalty of low confidence and nerves.
I thought it was cool as a cucumber. We will have to disagree. Hopefully boosted his confidence no endIt was the safest place to put the ball to get it on target. IMO, it was a penalty of low confidence and nerves.
It looked to me that he and Henderson knew exactly what he was going to do and he did it perfectly! It was the safest place to put the ball to get it on target. IMO, it was a penalty of low confidence and nerves.
Exactly, also he has been out for ages and is bound to be feeling the pressure. I'm glad that Dango has come in and taken the record signing tag off his shoulders as well.I thought he had a really poor game overall but people bashing him for a penalty he SCORED is ridiculous. He’s low on confidence, desperately trying to get his first goal, and sensibly he’s banked on a keeper diving, as they do 95% of the time, and rolled it down the middle. It was a sensible, good penalty. Might not be as flashy as Ivan / Bryan sitting a keeper down and sending the wrong way, or Said smashing it top corner, but he did the job and hopefully it gives him the boost he desperately needs going into next week.
Hasn't shown any signs that he is getting over his injuries, hasn't done anything in his short spells last season that makes you think it's going to come, had a pre season and should of been well up for it,Want it to work , people saying nothing offfered to him but he lost 9 headers today.

Could see things with Schede in the beginning, and could see that he could come good, haven't seen anything yet
Other than a pre season friendly against AFC Wimbledon,
Please prove me wrong,
