Igor Thiago
Just extraordinary levels he’s hitting right now. Don’t want him anywhere near the squad on Saturday!
That's wild coz I bumped into Les Ferdinand tonight and asked him "what do you think of QPR?"I bumped into Rio Ferdinand after the game and I asked him: "What do you think of Igor Thiago?"
His response?: "Ballon D'Or, Ballon D'Or, Ballon D'Or, Ballon D'Or. Ballon D'Or." He is right.
Back the Big Man.Back the Big Man.
Team Thiago.
Toney mark Two.
Barring a few miscontrols, from slightly overhit passes, I've not seen him look anything other than good for us.
If we sort out the rest of the midfield/attack, which bluntly has been a mess/mish-mash of players (or just playing minutes for fitness if you prefer), then he'll be fine.
Is Talksport a listed charity btw? What would these poor people be doing with themselves if it didn't exist.Calm down everyone!!!
Gabby Agbonlahor, the font of all footballing knowledge on TalkSport this morning generously saying that Igor is worth about £50M, because all he does is score, and doesn't offer anything when he's not doing that.
So I'm sure Phil Giles will snap Villa's hand off when they come in with a £45M offer during this window.

If you watch the full match replay of the Muff game the co commentator Efan Ekoku stated that Igor is slow for a centre forward!? At one point after he had left Marcos Senesi trailing in his wake Ekoku mentioned that he was treading water but Igor still wasn't quick. Yet another ex pro stealing a living in the media.Calm down everyone!!!

Since when do any of these "experts" need to actually watch anything/anyone in order to form an opinion? What. The. Actual. Fu(k.
Has this dipshit not seen Thiago’s assist for Schade against Bournemouth.
Would we sell to a champions league rival though?Stop bloody scoring!! He's just too good!!
Madrid will be putting £100m offers in at this rate.
What, just like Haaland then?Gabby Agbonlahor, the font of all footballing knowledge on TalkSport this morning generously saying that Igor is worth about £50M, because all he does is score, and doesn't offer anything when he's not doing that
This one is the best:Have a read of pages 93 and 94 of this thread and you'll realise that it isn't only the pundits who get their player evaluations spectacularly wrong!![]()
He's a Hofmann -style carthorse. We'll be down by Christmas if we persist with him.
This one is the best:
He might but historically speaking has always had a short average shot distance. A long range shot is mostly unnecessary because his scoring opportunities are going to come primarily in two ways - on a break where he needs to have a clinical finish around the keeper, or in the box where he needs to be the first one onto the ball and finish with it on net. What a fabulous player and seems to.be improving each game. I understand the Greaves mantra of it doesn't matter how fast it goes over the goal line, but does Igor have a hard distance shot as part of his arsenal? He walloped the ball when scoring on volley against Manure, but just wondered if this was an area he could.improve on if needed.
I just listened to same segment. I was very suprised to hear that Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus has only scored 1 goal for Brazil since 2019 (in a friendly match agains South Korea)Tim Vickery (Brazilian football expert) now saying "he's put himself in the conversation" for Brazil WC Squad.
But "very difficult today" as Brazilian Press are still asking "Who is he?" and, once again, it's unusual for a player who's playing for a "minor club" to get a call up to the National side..........
Ancelotti still 'loyal' to Richarlison.
Igor Jesus having a "pretty good season"
Last chance will be for IT to be called up to Brazil squad in March for games v France and Croatia.........
Ah yes, Igor Jesus with his *checks notes* 1 goal this season playing at the mighty *checks notes* 17th-placed Nottingham Forest.Tim Vickery (Brazilian football expert) now saying "he's put himself in the conversation" for Brazil WC Squad.

IJ "has scored in Europe" seemed to be Vickery's justification for him being higher up the pecking order.............Ah yes, Igor Jesus with his *checks notes* 1 goal this season playing at the mighty *checks notes* 17th-placed Nottingham Forest.
Thiago scored more goals last night than IJ has all season.
Not just that but he is well known in Brazil. It is apparently a big deal that the player is known in Brazil or has played well there, and unfortunately for Thiago he left early and before he had made any sort of name for himself.IJ "has scored in Europe" seemed to be Vickery's justification for him being higher up the pecking order.............![]()

I'm guessing Thiago's for Brugge (most goals in European competition for any Brazilian that year) and the Conference League Young Player of the Season don't count for muchIJ "has scored in Europe" seemed to be Vickery's justification for him being higher up the pecking order.............![]()
It would appear not.I'm guessing Thiago's for Brugge (most goals in European competition for any Brazilian that year) and the Conference League Young Player of the Season don't count for much![]()

More likely Paul Clement would scout at the Gtech.could we see Ancelotti at the Gtech for a match to scout Igor?
2029 with a 1 year option. So I believe his contract runs to2028. Do we have a year option?
Qualifying for Europe this season is our best chance of him signing an extention IMHO
Yes. Aerial to Kev, but feet to him. Him to run off Kev's flick-ons. (Toshack - KeeganI'd like us to play the ball into his feet more often
But then again we are 5th in the Premier league doing it Keith's way![]()
To be fair he should be high in the fouls committed against list too but he gets nothing from refsNumber 4 in the Premier League Fouls Committed list, according to today's Racing Post!
Holliday? or Hopkins.Who partnered Dave McCulloch in our 1930s First Division side?
he's a better player , Haaland does feck all 95% of the gamesHe is the nearest thing to Haaland in the PL IMHO - can play in behind, holds the ball up, scores headers etc.
Key difference is that he works damn hard too - will be our first 100m player IMHO.
