Furo playing in the Cup does not mean he’s ready to be Thiago’s replacement.

Don't kill me here but I'm a little worried about him at the moment. Seems to have lost his flow a little. His ability to hold up the ball has improved drastically to a top, top level. I'm just a smidge concerned about his composure and ability to bully and win the ball in the air against defenders. Needs work here.

Needs a goal, to settle him again.

he's consisently awful in the air, hardly ever wins a header

I think with Igor, it would be easy to allow his 17 goals already to be evidence enough that he’s fully adapted to the league. He’s still adapting, as any other striker would considering how early it is in his Bees career.

His hold up play on the ground and passing I think is pretty good. With his aerial ability, he just needs to discover how best to compete. If it transpired that part of his game is still lacking, then adapt how you use your body.

I love how emotional a player he is. Emotional meaning both devastating and perhaps uncomposed at times. But with experience, he’ll harness that drive, that hunger.

I’m just glad he is scoring and has laid down a strong enough foundation

Been saying for the last few seasons Wissa was best finisher I'd seen in a Bees shirt, but f**k me when you look at how coolly he took his goal today, and previous 1 on 1s this season, IT has gotta be up there too!!! 👏👏👏

The Bearded Wonder does it again! I will hold my hand up and say very much not convinced by him at first, but glad to be proven wrong. His finishing continues to be superb and he makes it look so easy.

Perhaps the most underrated part of his game is his speed. This graph I found from a twitter user shows he’s both reached the fifth highest tip speed of all strikers in the league and also sprinted the fifth highest distance. He’s big and strong, but also one of the fastest strikers in the league.

KA said in a recent interview that Brazil know all about Igor so it sounds as though they've been monitoring him closely. It would be disappointing if he doesn't get a call up for their next games (friendlies at home to France and Croatia).

For reference, the announcement they did 6 months ago was a 3.30pm local time.

Ridiculous. Only player that could be higher was Semenyo, all the other players are in bigger and supposedly better teams. But glad the lad is getting the recognition that he deserves. 3 more goals hopefully for him tonight.
