Obviously the TV sets were not working in Bournemouth during the Euro finals.
Otherwise they'd have thought twice about bringing in an injury prone over-paid player, who sadly no longer has any flair or game changing talent. He's hardly had any continuous football during the last year, and is unlikely to sustain being a 90 minute player, let alone be able to play many games, before he's back on the physio's couch.
Part of Hodgson's downfall was in selecting him, and now Bournemouth have mistakenly inherited him as an Arsenal cast-off.
If Wilshere had come to us, I would have groaned, because he won't bring the commitment and energy we need, and indeed already have.
Guaranteed - he won't be featuring as a regular in Bournemouth's team after Christmas!

Apparently he wanted to go to Roma but Arsenal wouldn't allow it because they have some previous bad blood with them over a transfer from last season?
I think this lad has missed his window unfortunately. Shame,could have been some player.

Agree, in say Italy the slower tempo and less physical pressure may have suited his style. Hope it works out for him at Muff.

I think it's a good move for him, going abroad could see him out of the limelight bu if he can keep fit down there and get regular games it'll be good for him......the problem is can he keep fit.

Never sign a player that feels that they are doing you a favour.... Bournemouth may have to learn the hard way. I can't see him doing anything special for them. I certainly can't see him playing for Arsenal again.

Real shame, I'd love to see our young promising Managers cutting their teeth overseas to improve their chances of becoming successes in Premier League and who knows future National coaches.
Likewise be good to see some youngsters who will never go straight into Premier League sides being encouraged to get experience overseas but guess Brexit may reduce the slim chance to non existent now?

We're is a good position to get players across to FCM, even if it is just to mix with the squad and do some training, and the B Team have already done that and their 2 games in Spain. We also have a player who was with a Premier League side and spent the season before we signed him playing in the Eredivisie.

Preparing for European competitions, us! While fans don't think further than the next starting XI, it's good to hear Phil Giles talking long term. Regardless of the moans and groans, that the Club's management speak of these things indicates a long-term plan and not the knee-jerk reactions that we have.

It will be interesting to see how he does for them. If he's fit and stays that way, then he should be a very good player at this level and a big asset for Bournemouth's midfield.

The guys is a tool. Yes had injuries but easily could have adapted and played at a lower standard if willing gives the big sob story. And talks utter nonsense when on any radio or TV. Clings to his good couple of years at Arsenal.

Doesn’t come across as the sort of deep thinker or natural leader that normally makes a good coach.
The Arsenal U18 head coach role is probably quite a sought after job. I wonder how many young English coaches with 1000s of hours of experience would love that job but can’t get a crack because It goes to someone like Wilshere.
