Can We Play You Every Week
Jonathan Douglas
Two in two for JD.
Is that ex team mates that he's crocked?
Two in two for JD.
I'm surprised he would announce this so early.

"So Mr Douglas, can you give us any examples where you've had to deal with difficult players ......"
His teams will be distinguishable by their level of unseen work.
Brian Clough was the most argumentative player in the Middlesbrough team he played for, so much so that the other players organised a petition to have the captaincy taken away from him."So Mr Douglas, can you give us any examples where you've had to deal with difficult players ......"
Cheers, nocoat. That's so much more interesting than him scoring a goal for Ipswich.......Nothing.for Douglas so far today alikat![]()
Helped win my bet ! Top man
...............on the scoresheet against the Hoopers..........
Just seen the goal. First thought was that he was miles offside then saw there was a Rangers defender near the goal line basically doing nothing apart from keeping everyone onside
..............yep..............standing ovation.............

Thank you, Ruislip Bee. I think how this thread has developed is a disgrace to the GPG. JD was a great player for the Bees and it was terrible how he was bundled out of the club after the July friendly. Not a month later, he was at GP for Ipswich. Some here hated the reception he got but it wasn't until a bit later that some (sorry) sad individual freeze-framed what happened in the penalty area at the end of the game and cast JD as a terrible viilan.
I was at this game and this was not seen at the time. From what I saw, JD got a good reception from the players afterwards. Again "Eagle eyes" told us that Jota wasn't happy.
JD is a player in the Terry Hurlock mode. The sad thing is that he was two months ahead of the management in terms of Marinus. Mick McCarthy probably can't believe his luck - getting JD on a free. Does anyone doubt he would be an ever present in our team now?
Let's have some respect for a player who was very good for us while here. Is that really too much to ask?

The responses by Sonofabee and Northamptonbee say more about them than anything I have said. To think, sonofabee laughed at the bullying thread (not forgotten!). I hope the mods keep a close eye on both them and this thread.

I wish the members would give the mods a ****ing break to be honest.![]()
Are people on a wind up here that I'm missing? Why the **** has all this been dredged up?
Thanks Les. I expected better. Let's see how things go from here.
****ing hell, this isn't a wind up is it. Come on chaps, do we have to do this?
Of course he does, as you very well know.
I hate all this - lets lamp JD stuff. If we can agree to respect JD and his contribution to the Bees, I'll be happy.
I think he is in the Terry Hurlock mode but, of course, that is just my view. My big beef is that this thread increasingly treats JD as public enemy no 1 and actually he was a great player for us. We miss him. If I have lanced that boil, that'll be good.
Why on earth would you post something like that when it's been to death on here ? It's as if you just want to provoke a reaction. Just for once I actually genuinely feel sorry for the mods who have to deal with the mess
Why are we talking about this now? I genuinely don't understand why this has been brought up again.
I've come back because the last posts were people wishing ill on JD. It's simply wrong and brings the GPG into disrepute.

How about moving this debate to Twitter?
Why is me sticking up for JD so controversial? He was a good player for us.
