I'm there no matter what.

The last time we played Leeds was in September 1961 in the League Cup. We lost at Elland Road 4-1. Last time we met them in the league was March 1954, we lost away 4-1.

My son has just spent three years at uni in Leeds and loved the place and can't wait to go back now with the added bonus of seeing our beloved Bees. Great city for pubs, clubs and resturants but the ground although very easy to reach is in a sh*te hole of a place surrounded by very bleak industrial estates and some poor housing areas. You won't want to walk around that place on your own or in very small groups.

True been there before not with bees though so this is very special.
There will be very large groups of bees fans i at a minimal guess think there will be over 2400 bees

Just hoping my son gets his 2 A's and a B at his A levels in which case he will be going to Leeds Uni - and guess who will be coming up to see him during the season?

Good luck to him NLB hope he does it. When he gets there he'll make loads of friends and get him to drag them along to ER also and swell the ranks even more. Uni's are great places to meet other "real" footie fans ie. those who support the likes of Grimsby, Stockport, Hereford, etc, you name them and they'll find them. Of course there will be the usual gathering on Manure, Newcastle, Liverpool etc. Funnily enough my son brought his Manure supporting mate (season tkt holder at OT) to the Sunderland game and he said it was one of the best days he had watching football. Great atmosphere and banter but even better was he got to stand on terracing at Brook Road and run on the pitch at the end - we'll forgive him for that.

Who are ya!!!

Just the match I was hoping for - Brentford is coming to town!
Woop!

Leeds Away

Been dreaming of this fixture since the early '90's when Leeds became my 'second' team for a while...even watched them play @ QPhaha a few times when they were in The Prem....oh how the mighty have fallen?!! :( Course back then our only hope of playing them was being drawn against them in the League/FA Cup...which never happened...am one happy lady tonight.

Chance to visit Elland Rd to watch The Bees?.....

:bound: JUST YOU TRY & STOP ME!!! :bound:

It's not the nicest, but far from the worst. Around the ground is probably one of the safest places in the world on a match day. That said I saw a couple of remarkably cowardly assaults from leeds fans when I lived there. But as long as you avoid being a teenage girl drinking quietly in a village pub miles out of leeds daft enough to be wearing a cardiff top you should be able to avoid physical assault easily enough :bound:

On your own, small groups or even mob handed could be "interesting".

This is a MUST do game next season regardless. I expect us to take nothing less than our full allocation - and I expect nothing less than a "If you're not there" warning from VoTB.

Ideally train for this one but I'll get there how I can.

Follow follow follow. We'll be going to Elland Road

One of my old friends is a Leeds supporter and I used to go round his house to watch them in the premiership, can't believe we're actually in the same league as them now lol. Might give him a bell and see if he wants to come along to see his mighty Leeds at fortress Griffin Park and also that other ground, Elond Rad is it.....

Sheesh Mahal is a better bet, just outside city centre on the Kirkstall Road.
Food great, cost great & atmosphere great.

(I'm not on commission)

Will take bookings & less likely to be troubled by knuckle draggers.

A must overnighter whatever day its on. Could be 2nd v 1st on Sky .

Allocation for that corner is only 1700 i think so lets try and be one of the teams behind the goal. Even no coat is going to this. :fishing:

I'll be there used to live just outside Leeds and went there alot in the Seventies cant wait to go back

The last time Bees beat Leeds at Elland Road, stat fans:

I'll definitely go if it's a weekend / bank holiday game. Been there before and scored a penalty in front of 35,000 plus fans (a charity thing). Then sat in the main stand and watched them lose to Oldham. It was the most hateful atmospheres that I have ever experienced at a football match. You could literally feel the hatred being generated all around the stadium. Having said that the hospitality of Leeds United was better than first class.

Spoke to Leeds fans in office here and they only allocate 1100 in corner for the away fans,

So I can see a lot of disappointed bees for this one included.

They give more if team will fill it, Leicester had behind the goal amongst others. Hudds and bradfut in the cup as well.

There will be 17000 empty seats so i am sure they will give us 2500 at least.

Well tell him no thanks the best way is to get pissed and stay in Leeds the night ;)

Don't forget you are thinking as a fan who travels, we took ages to sell out Muff etc etc, there will be less there than we all think.

Leeds Away

Apart from the visit of Manchester United and the odd cup tie or local derby, Leeds is a fairly enjoyable place to watch your football. However, if you are attending one of the former games, then exercise caution around the ground and the adjacent car parks. Away fans are located in the South East corner of the South Stand at one end of the ground, where up to 1.800 fans can be accommodated. This allocation can be raised to 5,000 if necessary by giving away fans the whole of the South Stand. Facilities within are fairly basic, the leg room sparse, plus I saw a number of fans being ejected (without warning) for swearing. So be on your best behaviour.
