Frankly, as long as no Brentford supporter is denied a place as a result, and they aren't looking for aggravation, I really don't mind Luton supporters sitting in amongst us. Most of them will just be regular supporters of their club, just like us, who are desperate to see an emotionally significant match. I've sat in the home end at away matches before (on one occasion assisted to do so by a concerted large scale effort from a website known by rather a large number of us :D) so I can hardly condemn somebody else for doing the same.

I do worry though that threads like these, often triggered by unsubstantiated rumour are likely to ensure that it all rather becomes a self fulfilling prophecy - we expect trouble, they expect trouble, so off it all goes at the slightest provocation. A Luton supporter was telling me that far from ticketless hordes he expects the club to only just sell out and he and his mates intended to stay at the end to applaud the presentation of the championship trophy. So, lets calm down a little and hope for the best.

There won't be any trouble tomorrow and there won't be any trouble on May 2nd either,
and if you win the title I will stay and applaud you along with quite a few others.

As ever, the internet creates rumours which get totally out of hand.

Are these same Luton fans who are going cause havoc the same lot who smashed the Bricklayers up in 1998, after most of the Brentford fans had long since dispersed, leaving just the general public, probably OAP's and a few parents with their children, in the pub? :rolleyes:

A Luton supporting work colleague told me today Luton fans regard going to Brentford as dodgy. Luton fans are usually told to stick around in groups when visiting TW8!!!

As a matter of interest does anybody know if Luton have sold all their allocation or not presume yes if they are allegedly trying to get tickets in the home end

For the Hatters' final game of the season at Brentford the ticket office has issued the latest selling arrangements for supporters wishing to attend this fixture.

Season ticket holders have until 7.45pm on Tuesday - prior to our match with Wycombe Wanderers - to guarentee a ticket at Griffin Park.

Once the final whistle is blown following the Wycombe game supporters who hold three away match ticket stubs, three home game ticket stubs or a match day voucher booklet will be able to purchase one ticket per person up until 3pm on Saturday 25th April before our match with Rochdale.

After the match with Rochdale has finished any remaining tickets will go on general sale to one per person.

According to one of their sites they have sold between 700 and 1000 so far to season ticket holders.

For such a 'big, well supported club' their attendance at Barnet was poor as have recent home games.lol
The must have only a few hundred more season ticket holders then us.:confused:

I think the fact that the tickets are st only has led to the fairweather idiots who would cause trouble considering a game in our end.

I hope that Luton fan who cried on sky sports news is there:D

They paraded the JPT through the town the other day and for a club with "the best supporters in the world", "40,000 at Wembley shows what a well supported club we are" etc I think the number of people lining the route was less than they get at a home game and some of those were curious onlookers
who were more interested in their shopping

Saturday is all about US going up as champions under a young manager with very limited resources and who has had to deal with a major injury crisis in the run up to the end of the season.

It is NOT about Luton going down; their historic mismanagement; or their two-bit thugs.

I hope the focus of the media on Saturday will be all about the first, and not about the second.

A lot of Luton's plans have gone out of the window with us not needing anything from the last game.:DThey would have hoped to have wrecked our plans with a "Top of the league and you fecked it up" but sadly that's gone.
That's a shame.

That is complete rubbish

We will bring a good crowd to cheer our team after the disaster of a season we have had, but the majority dont have a problem with Brentford.

I hope it is a good day. Well done on winning the league, maybe we will meet again soon.

We remember well here Luton's cowardly mob-handed attack on a pub several hours after the game ended, and when it had a grand total of 12 people in it.

Over 1000 is still good support, regarding the pub incident i cant comment as i was not there.

You are probably a decent bod but you must understand that going to Luton isn't always a pleasant or easy thing to do. You get that gathering of wind up merchants in the side bit all offering people out, some take photos and some give it the old slit throat sh*t. I sit near the away lot at GP and will have banter with anyone if needed but I wouldn't offer anyone out as it's gay and people that do that don't normally mean it. I would suggest that any Luton fans in the home end will be taking a chance, I wouldn't fancy my chances of doing something stupid like that. Outside all mobbed up is a different thing though.

If any Luton fan wants sympathy for their predicament - well, sorry - no. A couple of decades of MiGs threatening and attacking scarfers gets no sympathy from me; and the shameful attack on The Bricklayers sealed my contempt for 'em long ago.

My guess is that Saturday will pass without much trouble but, regardless of any threat from swine flu, it probably makes sense to wear a face mask when Luton fans are in the vicinity.

I'm not sure that is a triple negative... as it reads as 'I will like not going to Luton. The 'not going' bit is not affected. You could go for a quadruple negative....

But that leads to a bad out come, so you need a quadruple negative plus a negation.

Bit surprised ( for such a massive club) to see they will be well short of the maximum number of tickets , saw also that they fell far short last Saturday for the "final" home game....

Are they not bothered or just over confident they will be back in a year or just over "bigged"
