Normally you'd be sympathetic to someone in his position, since he has basically fulfilled his side of the bargain (OK, maybe not so "competitive").
But whether Holloway recognises it or not, even if he has got QPR on more of an even keel just now, does anyone really believe he could ever be the man to take them up to the next* level?
* - Say where Dean Smith has Brentford now?

Fair enough I suppose.
But it's hardly sensible to keep someone on when you know he's not up-to-the-mark, solely on the basis that your previous appointees were even worse.
Personally I'd have liked them to have kept them on, since under him, there's hardly much chance they'd do any better next season, and every chance they'd do worse.
And while McClaren is never going to be the top manager he seems to think he is, I wouldn't like to see him appointed by them, since he's still a notch above Holloway (imo).

You know what, I think it is, they were awful and relegation fodder imo, they had a blinding start and beat Wolves and Sheff U in the middle of the season who were both top 2 when they were dropping a bit. They never flirted with relegation and imo that was actually good work by Holloway.

QPR have no money due to FFP and will not be able to buy in big fee or wage players. They are so not a McLaren team. Holloway was doing the right thing blooding so many of their youth players. Can't beleive I'm defending Holloway

McLaren has been rumoured to be part of a group of investors who were looking to buy a club – I think it was Hull City – a few months ago. I'm probably putting 2 and 2 together and making 22 but I imagine that Tony Fernandes would be open to discussions about selling up, it can't be doing his health or bank balance any good.

I really dislike McClaren, he is a dull as dish water. He was clueless as England manager. He didn't even have the dignity to resign after his epic failier after saying judge me on the results. He has failed at virtually every club he's been at. He's absolutely perfect for QPR

People like moyes and pardew should not get another top flight job....consistently getting jobs yet they've never won anything in their managerial careers and in the case of moyes been rubbish in his last 3 jobs..man u ,sociedad and now whu

I think he’s a Manager who needs time that he got at Preston and Everton and delivered.
Anyone taking over from Sir Alex at Man Utd had no chance and he was given no time and he did no worse than Van Gaal.
He took over a broken West Ham side full of mercenaries with unhappy fans and he kept them up which was the objective when he took over.
I don’t like him as a person but he’s never been an impact manager, he’s always been about building his own strategy so probably no longer suited to Premier League football where nothing is long term. I think he’s very well respected by football people and far more popular than Pardew who I agree is rubbish and was very much regarded as an impact manager until he took over at WBA!
