Wasn't that one of the flats behind the Wendy House?

Barnsley given permission to speak to St Mirren's Jack Ross. I know you'll all mock the standard of Scottish football, but he did a good job at Alloa and now an outstanding job at St Mirren who are romping to the championship title north of the border. He's clearly got something...

It's been a funny League One this season - Would be great to see both the Wimbledons scrapping it out in League Two, whilst Shrewsbury are doing incredibly well. Amazing to see Plymouth go from very bottom to one win away from the play-offs (the Toumani effect). Expect a few heads will roll in the coming weeks if certain teams keep up their terrible form.

I think Toumani left a few weeks ago and is now at Fleetwood

He is indeed, but their form picked up dramatically when he joined. They had a terrible start to the season.

It’s a really exciting league this year from top to bottom. Lots of grim northern clubs that could be coming up though :(

No it's not, pre-season I put a bet on Wolves, Wigan, Luton and Tranny to win their respective leagues, 6 weeks ago Wigan had peed it but their cup run has ruined them, 3 0-0 home draws and finally 2 defeats, one to Blackpool who had scored 1 goal in 6 previous games or something......I had 3 certs and Tranny catching up, suddenly Wigan are all over the place, I wanted a nice easy 5 points clear with games in hand as per a few weeks ago please.

He'd be one of the names on my list if Dean left. Calm individual and coaches his team to play the right way. Ex-Bee Richard Dobson is his assistant.

Seems to do very well on a shoestring budget. Admittedly I haven't seen them play for a while but from what I remember not sure his style of football would fit in at Brentford.

Wasn't it you who recommended Leroy Rosenior all those years ago? Hopefully the club doesn't take too much notice next time ;)

Shouldn’t this be in the ‘is Scottish football now completely discredited thread?’

Should have stayed with Wales, where he was revered. He was never a good club manager, but no doubt his bank balance benefitted.

If only he could have got Bale to Sunderland he would have been a great manager ;)

Coleman can't have long based on what his team served up today.

Pity, especially after they made the play-offs last season.

Definite pattern there:

BFC play offs (didn't win) - left next season (to Wigan)
Wigan - made play offs (didn't win) - sacked next season
Fleetwood - made play offs (didn't win) - sacked next season.

Makes a good impact wherever he goes, but can't sustain for long. May well be at Sunderland or Brum next season. They won't be able to afford much else.

Such a pattern isn’t that unusual.
In terms of the short-term if you lose that many on the trot no great surprise

I still remember being totally exhilarated when at a pre season friendly just after he joined he was heard on the touchline shouting at the players "pass them to death".

If anything was a sign that this was a new Brentford undertaking a new journey, it was that.

Hasn't been mentioned but Jose Morais has been named manager of Barnsley. Former assistant manager at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, his first game was a 2-1 defeat at home to Burton.

Nah, they should go for a name, like Gianfranco Zola or Harry Redknapp.
