My bluenose mate reckons win lose or draw Cotterill will be gone tomorrow and replaced by Monk.
Mind you, at the beginning of the season he also thought we’d struggle and Brum would be in the mix for promotion due to the quality signings they made.

I'm sure he'll be gone within hours which is a real shame, but I'm not convinced about Monk long-term for them. His record has been pretty dismal since the last year at Swansea in which he struggled badly. Leeds was not great and Middlesbrough view his tenure as a disastrous flop. Having said that, a new face at Birmingham will probably get them over the line this season but I wouldn't be thrilled about him for the future. St Andrews doesn't seem the place to try and rebuild a damaged reputation.

Is Monk definitely nailed on for this job? Or is the tw*tterati at it again? I don't particularly rate him, but if he hangs on, I'm sure he'll get a better offer than Brum. Good chance of going down, no money to spend...why would he go there?

According to a Bluenose in my office, Rowett deserved the sack as he had been talking to other clubs on the side. To expect Zola to change Rowett's philosophy overnight was naive in the extreme and to allow Redknapp to piss money away was unbelievable. Cotterill was a poor appointment. I have never understood how successful businessmen seem to make such a balls of running football clubs, how lucky are we at BFC to have an owner who bucks this trend.
