Isn't the plan that Eisner will provide that investment and the plan is over time to turn the pitch round but in same location?. £10M no small sum but given they will go close to filling Fratton most weeks something doesn't seem right?

The club received about 1.5 million from Tesco which has a new store close to the ground. None of this money is allowed to be spent on anything but ground improvements. So about half of this was/is to be spent on the pitch itself.

£ 300.00 as an average of a season ticket x 18,000 = 5.4 million, so just under about half of this would have had to go into the stadium, hitting the playing budget. Ours is about 15 million or so.

I doubt he is anything more than interested in 2 year deal knowing it will be lucky to be anymore than that. He's of an age where he has had his time and will earn again if he can imho.

I think the reputation he has built has been because Ajax weren't playing in the "Ajax way", which they now are. And with a squad with an amazingly low average age.

And Dortmund are all about youth development. I don't think they will knock Bayern off their perch anytime soon, but it certainly a good fit in my head
