no matter what level he is at -from us to the premiership - he is just not quite good enough. so he moves on again.

Maybe he fell out with Mr Lecky and want to be associated with Mr (or Ms) Bent

I have absolutely no idea if that is the case in Marcus's instance, but that is the most common reason.

Didn't know he grew up in Shepherd's Bush. I thought it was Isleworth and call me a snob but I can't see why he'd trek an hour plus to go to St Paul's.

I used to work with a childhood friend of his at Heathrow and he never in 5 years mentioned Marcus having any interest in rangers, i think he loosely followed liverpool as a child, as did 20 million others in the late 80's. Most pro's don't tend to support teams, they have favourite players instead, often themselves.

Maybe he's doing a Bentley and imagining a new-club-friendly-past.

Served him when i was working in Argos in Kingston about 4 years ago. I asked when he would re sign for Brentford and he just laughed at me as if to say no chance. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

To be fair to Marcus Bent I can remember him receiving a lot of negative remarks from fans when he was with us but he had carved out a good career as a top league journey man .

he got those remarks justifiably,i was one of them...southend away in our relegation year,if you were there,got everything that was shouted at him,he didnt care,we gave him his career,and he acted disrectfully about it,complet c*nt

No argument from me on his performances just before he moved to Palace but the majority of that relegation team didn't care & were pure gash.

He likes a signing-on fee.
He's not good enough to establish himself or he's always trying to play at a level higher than his abilities (to get paid more).
