What strikes me is that we seem to favour only the 4-3-3 system and are unable to adapt to something different if it isn't functioning well -- a bit more flexibility in approach could be beneficial.
Assuming MW decided to loan out Logan, that must go down as a major error on his part, though in fairness the signing of Tarkowski is likely to prove a great move.
Lot's of people trying to find blame - Logan and Farid have become superheroes - strikers who are failures - McCormack in two positions - the conditioning coach worked miracles - but our record so far is not too shabby.
We need a new face to wake the front 3 up, that's all.
So many problems! Why can't we just win every single game like every other team does?
The only one of the 3 that we loaned out that bothered me was Logan as since the Arsenal lad seemed to lack experience and was one for the future it meant that Mac was more or less our RB going forward when in certain instances, the Wolves game being the obvious one, we may have wanted his presence in midfield. I didn't see the logic at the time and I don't now.
I don't know the terms of the deal with Aberdeen but if we were able to , bearing in mind Macs hamstring, we should be trying to get him back.

I think it was interesting that Warburton had Calvert and Hutton on the bench. Further Tarkowski and Yennaris played because of injuries. This illustrates to me the strength in depth we have .
Not a good enough squad at present - bench more akin to conference standard than top two of League One (in terms of how they are going to change a game).

smilie? He says we've been lacking that clinical quality in the final third, but he hasn't got another striker in yet? Hopefully he gets one in this week.

MW has been stating for the last half dozen games we are not clinical enough all i can say is b***** do something about it ! Talk is cheap
Needs to try harder!

It does'nt have to be a new striker it can be done by coaching some creativeness into the team which at the moment is the problem, when was the last time you saw a ball threaded behind the defence for a forward to run onto it won't be done by going sideways .
And that's b***** cheap talk. Tell us exactly what you suggest MW does that he hasn't obviously been trying to do for many, many months.
First I would get a coach in for the midfield since Peter Farrel left he has not been replaced I don't know if you have noticed but our shots at goal over the last few games has significantly diminished and I know teams that we have come up against are " parking the bus" but that is where you earn your corn by drawing these teams out and getting behind them but we seem devoid of ideas considering the amount of good possession we have and that is where a good coach comes in . MW did state a new coach would be coming but it appears to have gone quiet on that front .
What does Weir do then. Was he a midfielder ?
You know very well when Farrell left the midfield was ok at home prior to wolves but away what about Shrewsbury and Walsall , i know the Saddlers are a fair side but the Shrews were on a terrible run and there for the taking yet we struggled against them creativity wise .If we are going to make it the Shrewsbury's and Carlisle's are the teams we have to beat . Orient won 5-1 at Carlisle albeit at the beginning of the season can you truthfully see us getting a score like that away from home don't get me wrong i would be delighted if we did but at the moment i cannot see it .

And therein we see why you are known as downbeat Bee.
All i am trying to say is we could sign Van Persie tomorrow but if he does not get the supply he will not score . Carlisle have concede 54 goals this season and in our two games we have scored nil they are not the first team that have parked the bus and will not be the last and we appear flummoxed of how to beat it .
If you think i am being negative that's fine but i feel we need a little extra spark to get us over the line and where did i say that Warburton and Weir are not decent coaches they have done really well to get us where we are but we are now at the business end of the season and need a bit more !
hold on,the man has a point.....who did we have on the bench yesterday that can change a game......grigg....dont think so...........so who else?
Our bench is akin to a conference side? Grigg scored 20 goals in Lg 1 last year for a start....completely over the top reaction IMO.

Good lord man, we just won 16 games out of 19, only Wolves kept a clean sheet against us in that time.
I reignited this thread this morning to make the point that MW faces his biggest test to get us back into the groove again but I seem to have opened the door to every scaremongering, moaning minnie-negative doom monger on the GPG to start to act completely irrationally................ sorry everyone.
Shame i thought the GPG was a discussion thread all that happens is when certain people do not like other peoples views they put them down as scaremongering , moanie minnies and being negative well carry on being in your happy clappy mode . No wonder a lot do not post i have supported Brentford for fifty years and my father till he died foreover seventy years and i will carry on but on this forum!
