Matchday Programme 22/23

No seller outside magnet, just the one on the bridge in the NW corner. Approx 10 minute wait.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Programme arrived Saturday and in good condition for the first time so no complaints.

Not had one yet not damaged in some way. I think the envelopes are just a bit too small. Used to get them in better condition when they came in hard-backed envelopes.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Just had Chelsea programme delivered in the post, but no Brighton one yet.
This ring true with any others on here ?

Thanks Captain Obvious :fishing:

Again only the one seller on the bridge, took a while because people were asking for receipts so the seller had to cancel the transaction and start again. seemed like he had to put in first that he wanted a receipt as appose to just clicking a button after transaction has gone through.

Not the biggest issue by any means, but a slight irritation and maybe something to watch out for…

I bought a programme today outside the south stand and tapped my card on the reader, as normal. I hardly ever check my account balance but I just happened to look at it this evening as I was making an online payment to someone, and I noticed that I have been charged £8 for the programme today - and yes, I did only buy one!

I wouldn’t imagine many people check the payment amount, but I might do so in the future.

I would email the club to make them aware and that would severely pi×× me off.

Is there any point? It’s my word against theirs. I know I only bought one programme, but I’ve no proof.

It‘s just irritating that you don’t get a receipt - and I’m not suggesting they should add to the time by printing one - but you don’t see the amount on the reader either. Who knows how many have been charged a wrong amount and never noticed, or never checked.

Exactly your last sentence.

Programme arrived damaged yesterday in flimsy polythene packaging.

Third type of packing used this season, much preferred the service from last years supplier.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Proper old-fashioned squad poster in last night’s programme.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Makes no sense does it?

"just one please, mate"
'what? a programme?'
"please fella" (do they sell anything else???)
'oh, I'm sold out..' :banghead::banghead:
Saw three sellers the same at 7.30pm. Got one in the club shop in the end.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Sold out at the kiosk… Sold out in North stand merch stand… Nowhere to buy in West stand. Had to go down to the club shop today, they had 50 or so. Point is, why weren’t these available on the day of the match?

Getting a programme pre match is a ritual, can only attribute the score last night in me not getting one.

Matchday Programme 22/23

The West Ham programme from Friday included a page of stickers for some sort of affiliated game, which reminded me I’ve not seen any Brentford stickers in the superstore for years. I stuck one of the old shield stickers on my thermos a decade ago and it still looks good as new, must be printed on something tough. Anyway, how about it Brentford, can we have a page of stickers in the programme so us kids can decorate our lunch boxes?

Matchday Programme 22/23

dont suppose any from last night knocking around ?

Matchday Programme 22/23

i still have problems actually purchasing a programme on matchday, which is ridiculous. There had been a sales point at the mini merchandise kiosk in the Dug Out in recent months but that seems to have disappeared now so I'm reliant on the sellers outside the ground - couldn't get one arriving 5 minutes before kick off against Spurs and despite arriving three quarters of an hour before kick off last night I only just got one of the very last copies on sale from seemingly the only sales point outdude the South Stand, having queued 10 minutes for the privilege. I'm not a great conspiracy theorist but the persistent refusal to address the lack of sales points and low visibility of the programme around the ground does almost make it seem as though its being set up to fail.

I bought one outside the South after the match - I usually buy from one of the merch stands inside the North but they both sold out about half an hour before the match. I wonder if there was a distribution issue last night? The content is pretty good and if they want it to fail I'm not sure they would make that much effort!

Matchday Programme 22/23

Got to the ground at 4:55. No sign of sellers on the railway bridge and both merchandise points in North Stand sold out. Could not get one at the Spurs game either.

I agree, the content is excellent. But that leaves me utterly perplexed as to why there seems no desire to address the supply, distribution and sales problems. We are in the Premier League, with vastly more resources available to us than ever before yet its never been harder to do something as simple as buy a programme.

Matchday Programme 22/23

My tale is similar to Garybaldbee. Arrived on railway bridge programme queue at about 5pm. The seller excused himself just before I got to the trolley, saying he was having to go to the Superstore to see if they had any spares. He then reappeared with just 3! Enough for the couple of guys in front of me, but not for me!. I asked him to cascade my complaint to his boss(es).
This is the 2nd time this season that the programmes sold out and I couldn't get a copy. Whatever happened to the seller near the roundabout by the Superstore?
Behind the North Stand, there was a small merchandise outlet, which didn't even have programmes to sell.
When I got to my seat, I drafted an Email to the club which was sent after the game. I expressed my annoyance that this was the 2nd time this season this had occurred. Also surely the club must now have enough sales figures of those sold at each outlet. Why is there a shortage 30 minutes before kick off.
I await a reply from the club with interest. Not holding my breath, though... .

Matchday Programme 22/23

Try club shop - I missed one earlier in the season & bought online £4 & wasn't charged any P&P

Wish I was that lucky!
Paying 2x the normal price of a programme after struggling to find one, whilst the Scousers we roll out the red carpet for in the posh seats leave their FREE ones scattered across the stadium and lounges!

Matchday Programme 22/23

Sold out v Liverpool on the bridge and the pop up shop behind the north stand, that was around 450/5pm

Think I've only seen it the once this season, maybe against Utd or a friendly.
Also used to be one by the bicycle storage, in the NW corner. Not seen this season either.

Never an issue at GP that I can remember, Also used to get sellers walking around inside.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Why are hundreds going to waste, being given for free to people who don't want them, whilst those that want to pay for them struggle to get their hands on them? In just make no sense at all.

Matchday Programme 22/23

Brighton badge / game on Fulham programme?

Matchday Programme 22/23

Until the machines don't work or go
slow.

Which brings me to today. The poor young bloke whose card machine was not working today outside the ticket office. He kept on saying he knew it was bad and covering his face. You don't need to be a psychologist to realise how unpleasant it was for him.

An enormous pain for many of us as well trying to get a programme. Why doesn't Varney just come out and say they are trying to make purchasing a programme pretty impossible and want to go virtual asap?

Matchday Programme 22/23

Same on the bridge. Got to the front and machine decided to play up.
Apparently there was a connection but not processing transactions.
The seller didn’t even confirm if mine had gone through after a 2/3 minute wait and said I could have it.

Very annoying. X amount of customers could have been served in that time if they just accepted cash. A few others were asking about cash payments.

I did bring this up last season, reliant on good old tech :| and what happens when the computer says no…. Hopefully get a freebie :D
