And as if by magic Justin Turner hits a three run home run in the bottom of the ninth to beat The Cubs 4-1 and give The Dodgers a 2-0 lead in the best of seven NLCS as it heads for possibly three games in Chicago.

That would be the Justin Turner the Mets let go after the 2013 season.
Like the Daniel Murphy the Mets let go to Washington so he could hit .386 against his former side, with a 1.135 OPS.

John Lackey is finished. What with Arrieta leaving this year too it leaves a massive gap in the rotation. Montgomery is being touted for one which leaves another open. Three lefties in rotation seems a little much to me though. But I guess it depends how much the Cubs want Harper.

Astros 4-0 and The Yankees 5-0.

Overcoming Dallas Keuchel is no easy task.
Yankees have a very strong bullpen, so they need to get some runs off Keuchel for their bullpen to hold on to a lead, but that's easier said than done.
Could see this series going to seven games.

But the next 2 games are in Houston so we live in hope - this town goes crazy whenever the Rockets or Astro's look like reaching a World Series (do not include the Texans as they never fail to disappoint)

Tickets for the next 2 games in Houston are rarer than tickets for the away Cup Game at Southampton !!

Cubs get smashed in game 5

To be fair I am very pleased we managed to get this far. The team although mostly the same on paper hasn’t hit the heights of last year. Zobrist has been poor, and don’t get me started on Schwarber. Two around .220 hitters just wasting time on the line up. We never really replaced Dexter Fowler from last year. I think he was a bigger loss than most people realised.

Three Home Runs, including a Grand Slam and seven RBI's, in The Dodgers 11-1 victory.

The Nats had won 192 games over the last two seasons, winning two consectutive NL East titles.

Very harsh IMO, but I suppose the owners expected something more than just a place in the NLDS.

Tonight Justin Verlander goes up against Rich Hill. Verlander is the better pitcher.
Dodger's Stadium has always been a pitcher's park.
