Can We Play You Every Week
MotD
We did play them in 1947, but we won 4-1.What was Jonathan Pearce talking about claiming Wolves haven't won at Brentford since 1947? Who does the research?
We've lost three times at home to them since then.

?. I have learnt now. I don't tune in until the last ten minutes of MOTD.. It works nearly every time ?Can't believe we're on last again...
My take.?. I have learnt now. I don't tune in. It works nearly every time ?
We did have the clearer opportunities which I guess the highlights showed.Made us look like we dominated the game.
There are 2 regular female commentators on MOTD: Vicki Sparks and Robyn Cohen. The former is good, the latter is really bloody annoying. We have extended our equality philosophy to MOTD to as we frequently get the lady commentator although i suspect that is also as we are not in the first two games most weeks
What utter tripe. We have extended our equality philosophy to MOTD to as we frequently get the lady commentator although i suspect that is also as we are not in the first two games most weeks
I'm glad you understood it to come to that conclusion! What utter tripe.
The sentence works if you throw in a Russian accent.I'm glad you understood it to come to that conclusion!
Still smarting from the opening day defeat.Anyone catch Wrighty's little poke at Ivan with his 'nice kickabout for the lads' comment after the game?
Fine by me.Zero analysis of us on MotD. I guess we are no longer the media darlings.
Why would you want expert analysis on MotD when there's so much on the GPG?Zero analysis of us on MotD. I guess we are no longer the media darlings.
Expert????Why would you want expert analysis on MotD when there's so much on the GPG?
And me.Fine by me.
Under the radar again.
Good little piece about CE at the end too.Quite a bit on Bees last night on MOTD2 - with Troy Deeney talking about us.
In-depth chat about differences between Championhip and PL
I've just watched the end back on Sky, all ready for the highlights on Match of the Day3rd on tonight!!! ?
??
Time to start worrying if he said that! One more win and we should be safe. Said Shearer
Benrahma’s brother? One more win and we should be safe. Said Shearer
Seen a few people saying the Brighton keeper was a "blatant" red, but i thought it would've been ridiculous to send him off for that... it wasn't exactly the old German keeper Schumacher (World Cup 82). I appreciate it looked bad, but didn't think he did much wrong.Just watching MoTD and Mike Dean has made a complete idiot of himself with the Brighton keeper Not getting sent off for a clear arm in the face of Diaz and Allison with a clear handball outside his area and it's not given. After watching this game and De Silva's sending off against Newcastle just cements my thoughts that he shouldn't be refereeing at Premier League level
He also said at the end. Norwich and Watford are gone, with one of the other “3 “ to join them, probably Burnley. One more win and we should be safe. Said Shearer
I think Liverpool would have preferred the ball to have rolled wide. Penalty and red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity.Seen a few people saying the Brighton keeper was a "blatant" red, but i thought it would've been ridiculous to send him off for that... it wasn't exactly the old German keeper Schumacher (World Cup 82). But i did watch a few minutes of the match and thought Dean looked a bit portly and was making some odd decisions... maybe time to call it a day.
Yeah if it hadn't gone in it might have been a red. Think it worked out fine for the Scousers in the end so not sure they'd be too bothered either way...I think Liverpool would have preferred the ball to have rolled wide. Penalty and red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity.
My wife said, only three matches today so you'll be on fourth. Not far wrong.Actually, 7th!!!!
Out of 3 games!!!
?????
It's an odd one, but if it hadn't gone in and a penalty awarded, he may have been spared the red card on the double jeopardy rule.Yeah if it hadn't gone in it might have been a red. Think it worked out fine for the Scousers in the end so not sure they'd be too bothered either way...
That "double jeopardy" rule applies to if you are making a genuine attempt for the ball, which he was not doing. It's an odd one, but if it hadn't gone in and a penalty awarded, he may have been spared the red card on the double jeopardy rule.
But the double jeopardy rule doesn't apply if no penalty is awarded so I wonder if that was part of the thinking in not sending him off. For me it was one of those where, any outfield player does that then it's an obvious red, no question.
He's wrongOne more win and we should be safe. Said Shearer
Indeed, but I would argue the keeper was making an attempt to play the ball (albeit a pretty poor one!). He certainly didn't "intend" to take the player out, unlike Collins did with Toney. That "double jeopardy" rule applies to if you are making a genuine attempt for the ball, which he was not doing.
Just like Collins against Toney.
