Lineker now off sick today

Sore throat so could not present the Live Game

Her voice is like finger nails down a blackboard to me. I have to mute whatever game she does.
There is nothing sexist in this. I just think she has a terrible voice for broadcasting.

Sounds like a child playing subbuteo, its not sexist, it is just a fact that most women grate when they commentate, the brummy woman is by far the worst.

Why didn’t it come on iplayer for about an hour after it had finished? Is that normally what happens? It was giving me flashbacks of 2009 channel 5 app Ashes coverage.

Yes. Shearer ranting about our penalty, ex -Fulham Danny Murphy giving his objective view in case we think there's bias completing agreeing. Perfectly ok to kick players it seems #checksrules.

Meanwhile, the VAR rant from Shearer didn't' cover the ridiculously tight Toney offside.

The logic seemed to be that because the referee didn't give it first time, he shouldn't have over ruled himself.

Murphy kissing the A£ss of Shearer. In the Brighton match the late contact on Mitoma should have been given as a pen… but against NUFC it was a “disgrace” .

Reality is that too many people making money out of VAR so it will continue to ruin the game.

Insane if Shearer is complaining on the basis of whether or not there was contact. From a few yards away in East it was a sickening thud and very lucky that a stretcher was not required :mad:

Where to start with that “analysis” of the game on match of the day?

How can Shearer sit there and say he’s not bias when he analysed nothing on Brentford’s play. Literally nothing. He even managed to focus on Newcastle’s first half display, with a clip no one could learn from of isak running around.

Skips the tight VAR call for Toney’s disallowed goal, then proceeds to rant about how the official got it wrong when you can clearly see Henry was kicked.

The presenter role should be a more interrogatory. A simple question to challenge Shearer’s standpoint would be to say “Was Henry kicked?”. He’s can’t have a rational comeback to that - but we’ll never know because it was never asked.

I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve watched it this season and it’s because I find the analysis so dire. It’s not that they’re bad if they applied themselves, they’re just lazily boring.

They all are too good mates, you learn nothing watching it, and it needs a shake up.

Agree with your analysis of yesterday's performance from Messrs Murphy & Shearer. Generally Shearer is very complimentary about us but the unchallenged partizan nature of his 'analysis' last night was poor. As for Murphy...never appears to have a good word about us & gave no balance whatsoever.

I'm never completely sure you can get unbiased, honest analysis when the person giving the analysis is so very closely associated with a club

So Brighton get an apology from Howard Webb's PGMOL....but Tottenham get 3 points which they may have not if correct decisions were made in Brighton's favour. That could have a bearing on European places - too many blatant mistakes being made by VAR lately.....just ask Alan Shearer...:LOL:

Not really. I’d expect nothing else from him he clearly doesn’t like the club. It’s very rare that he says anything positive about Brentford. He’s going to have to face up to facts next season when the club has strengthened yet again and hopefully doing better next season. But then maybe I won’t hold my breath.
