Theo Walcott and Joe Hart announced as pundits for the upcoming season.
Will be unique to have an actual former goalkeeper on as a regular.

Alan Shearer and Ian Wright always ended up sinking into the usual cliches "a world class keeper saves that" or "he should be doing better there" -- so having a goalkeeper on to actually give some critical analysis of their performances should add a new insight.

In fairness both he and Walcott come across as intelligent and articulate and Hart showed during the Euros he can analyse games and explain from a keepers point of view.
They will be better than Ashley Williams and Keown but that’s not saying much

Joe Hart better be careful if he starts saying things like that, as there were many shots that he should have saved, or done better with.

It used to be presented by an actual former goalkeeper, you know.
I did not know ? thanks for informing me!

Probably my main sport during the time would have been either Tag or 'Chucks' (you split into two teams and launched a tennis ball from one end of the playground to the other, 1 point for catching with both hands, 4 points right hand only, 10 points left hand only).

But I digress ? more goalkeeper representation always welcome, and Hart did ok at the Euros from what I remember?

Just found European Super Cup highlights on BBC (Messrs Mowbray and Warnock (S)). Somehow I’ve missed that they have European football rights this season…
Look at the Champions League Thread 24/25

Exactly what I was thinking. His angle was a breath of fresh air in the Euros.

I thought he was a clone of Shearer and didn't add anything above what had just been said. So pretty much like all pundits then
To be fair he did do an analysis on David Raya and his incredible save vs Wolves... so a bit different!
