Nathan Elder

Nathan Elder

When you consider our lack of goals this season....and the players we have brought in...I would welcome Nathan back.....:sorted:

Nathan Elder

Nathan Elder

was in bournemouth on a lads weekend so decided to take in a footy game while we were there. this gave me a chance to check out if what these shrewsbury fans are sayin about nathan is actually true.

the verdict...... absolutly shocking and thats coming from someone who used to love the guy at brentford just for the sheer effort he used to put in.

on saturday he cant have won more than one header and in all honesty looked completly un interested. when they got the ball to him he either fell over or passed it staright back to the opposition.

It got that bad that when shrewsbury were attacking that actually chose not to pass him the ball and wud rather have a pop from 30yards instead.

make your own judgement but from the evdience i saw he is a shadow of the player he was at brentford last year.

I wonder how much of that is a result of his injury and/or the way refs handled him. A big part of his game was the whole-hearted way that he went in for challenges, so if he can't do so without fearing injury or dismissal, that must hold him back.

I'm not sure he ever looked more than a competent Lge 2 player (other than in very short bursts) but it's sad to see how far he seems to have fallen

Nathan Elder

I really do hope he has a chance to meet you one day.

Why? It's not his fault he is trying to defend him, albeit a wee bit half hearted.

He's a decent lad and put his neck/skull on the line for us as did Spencer too, Nathan got a very decent deal for his talent and commitment. End of.

That's why Andy was well pleased to get rid. Same with Kabba, Cort, Poole, Connell, maybe Mac & Taylor in Jan. Etc.

Sorry Davee, there was a response from the Shrews fan that he then deleted. I think he called Nathan an oaf amongst other things and I was replying to that.

Sorry then Les for grabbing the wrong end of the stick!

Exactly my firend!!

We have had to endure this every time he has set foot on the pitch!!

Nice lad, does his best, strong ... erm and a very has cosy 3 year contract - he must be laugfhing on the other side of his face!!!

Would you really be wanting that to lead your forward line for the next 3 years?

Unbelievable deal for you - for him too, as he is having a total laugh at us fans - the end of Simmo for us too due to him, I suspect.

And so be if that is his eye for a 90K striker lol.

Good luck against that horrible club on Saturday!!

Let it go for Christ's sake  You're wasting your time on this board as many of us have good memories of Nathan. I suspect that injury has done significant unseen damage to him. Scotty may well have done a very shrewed piece of business at STFC's expense. Get over it. If you want to talk about crap players, let me tell you about a bloke we signed. Paul Brooker was his name..........................................bores everyone rigid for the next 358 pages.................................................Now in the nicest possible way, bugger off.

Nathan Elder

I happen to know a Shrewsbury fan, and he's an annoying runt as well, must be something to do with the inbreeding.

Nathan Elder

Come back to GP Nathan.

Sod Shrewsbury who think they are the Brizzle of League 2 they can feck off, your team is sh*te mate. Nathan probably is getting treated well at Shrews where at BFC there was btner, good team bond so he had confidence even after he got sent off and had that terrible injury. He was still waiting to go when he was sub vs Luton last season and he didint get on which he was gutted about.

Ledgend in my book, top man, i remember scenes at Bournemouth when i knew we was going up as champs and Nathan was having a right laugh with us at half time.

We have had a share of shtite players, but sh*te players who dotn give a sh*te, Nathan is a good player a very good Lge 2 player and does give a sh*te!

Nathan Elder Brentford's LEDGEND LA LA LA LA LA LA !!!! BOUNCE !!!!

Shrews fan come back when your in League 1..........(but we wont be so dont come at all )

Do you not think it might have something to do with the public bashing from your manager and "fans"? That's if you can call yourself fans the way you slag off one of your own players.

Elders confidence has probably been shot to pieces. Maybe if you "fans" got behind your players it would give them the boost they need to put in the performances they are capable of.

Nathan Elder

Omer Riza and Kris Bright haven't scored. Where's their abuse?

yes, and let us do that to Bean, Foster, Osbooouuurne and Kabba (if he comes back)...practice what you preach

Nathan Elder

oh dear you lost 4-0

Nathan Elder

..................well done Shrews..................

Nathan Elder

Yeah. And there's only 2 o's in Osbouuurne .

Nathan Elder

Not exactly a shocker NE aint setting the world alight is it

Nathan Elder

What you on about? I don't slag our players off.

not you personally :D I meant the royal us - those who moan whenever 1 of our players does the sensible thing, like clearing it into the sky in the oppo half, when needed, and then moans to play it to feet, even when that would have been the dumbest thing to do in the circumstance. Or something.

Nathan Elder

Just seen that he is only 22!!! For some reason thought he was at least 25-26.

Nathan Elder

Blimey, I think i'm gonna put a few quid on AFC Dons to go up this year!!!

Nathan Elder

Prove Shrewsbury wrong Nath bag yourself a few goals.

Nathan Elder

definitely going to be keeping an eye on AFC now-Seb Brown, Ross Montague, Brett Johnson and now Elder and Poole!

Dont think theres any players left from last years squad for them to sign!

Nathan Elder

.................good signing for the Dons....................

Nathan Elder

Good move for Nathan too I reckon. Good little club, good chance of League footy in the not too distant and he'll hopefully be appreciated a bit more there. And, he can always pop down the road to watch the Bees if they drop him for not scoring any goals :sorted:.

Nathan Elder

Good luck, big man. :sorted:

Nathan Elder

Thank ***k for that !!! Bad news is it is only a loan :-(

See they were looking for a 'lump' according to their manager - they have succeeded :-)

They can't have seen him play this year :-) ... as a poster on our board has put it ... """ was it his ball control, his vision, his hold up play, his dribbling, his shooting, his powerful well directed heading, link up play or just that he is a total goal machine which attracted them?"""

Who knows? Who now cares!!

Great result anyway - hope he does really well (highly unlikely) and they decide to take him on full time!!

Bang 'em in Nathan

Nathan Elder

A shame he didn't do it for your lot. If you had a decent manager, a decent squad and some decent supporters things may have turned out better.

Have fun at Burton tomorrow.

Nathan Elder

and Derek Duncan according to my AFC mate and he is pretty reliable, ive not heard of him though

You forgot 'decent ground'. It was better when the man had to go out in a boat to fetch the ball back for a throw in .
