Why would they want to do that if they are at Wycombe and he is Wycombe MD?
He has also said he wants to develop Adams Park or failing that I assume build a ground for both clubs to share.

To go back to your question, Imo Swansea is a really well designed stadium. They haven't crammed seats in to sacrifice comfort for extra revenue. The concourses are wide & access into & out of the stadium is good. I also thought the atmosphere was very good and the view from behind the goal was excellent. It also feels very 'solid' & not, like some newer stadia, a 'meccano' type structure.
I really like the initial design of L Road on the BU website as a 1st choice, but if we ended up with a 'clone' of the Liberty Stadium I'd be well satisfied.

Liberty Stadium is one of the few new grounds I like. The only real negatives are a) the gap between the upper and lower tiers and b) all-seater. But as KGB says, so much better than the likes of Southampton/Doncaster/etc.
Also, could anyone confirm that the plans to expand Griffin Park to 15,000 (and potentially later on 17,000) are still in place IF Lionel Road doesn't happen?

Planning permission was granted but any further expansion is unlikely to happen as all energies are now concentrated on Lionel Road. Given BFC's debt is now around £9.4 million it is unlikely that any serious capital will be spent on Griffin Park.

There was a grant available for some of the work costs. Is this still available and could it be transferred & used within Lionel Road build?

I really do hope that Lionel Road goes ahead satisfactorily.
But, if it doesn't, I hope the club still has a decent 'plan B', and, perhaps, a decent 'plan C, D and E 'etc.

i cannot see anything happening for the next three years at least, probably five.
we (the uk) are in a very serious recession and it may yet turn into a depression.
those who love GP may be going there for quite a while to come.
and given our attendances this season it is more than large enough.
in this financial climate there will be little demand for corporate hospitality in the lower divisions.

The credit crunch will only mess things up for the next couple of years
It should have no impact on the stadium as getting planning permission will probably take 2 years or so. Also the flats being built to fund the thing have not been built and will probably be completed just in time for the boom time years (££££££££££££££££). If we build the stadium during the recession all the better cheapier better quality labour and the finished product ready when every body has money again.
So chill out and see the glass half full and not empty

What part do you not understand.We do not earn any money coming in at GP, apart from matchday money. The idea of Lionel rd is to maximise our income. If we stay at GP. Then the chances of us staying in existance will rapidly deteriorate, Please do try and get a grip of the situation.

Obviously, stuck to calling it Braemar. As with New Road these days. But if it's called "The Lucozade Stadium" from the off, I fear it will stick. It will always be Lionel Road to me though, no matter what it's finally called.

You are I'm afraid Harry. I would suggest you try and seek out Brian Burgess at some point and spend 5 minutes listening to why we need a new stadium. I'd lay my house on your opinion being changed after listening to him detail the reasonings behind the need for a new stadium.

Harry, I have lived in Brentford near the football ground for most of my life and I have never felt such a strong buzz that our new ground is really going to happen. Despite the fact that we are in the middle of one of the worst recessions this country has seen for a long time, the faith and will of those who have been working hard behind the scenes for this cause, and the faith and will of Brentford people and many Bees fans remains undimmed. If you have the faith and will Harry, then the new ground will happen.

The faith of Brentford people? Brentford people couldn't care ****ing less about the club.Its a big deal for you as a fan right? Where are your Brentford people then at home games? This season we are up the top( At the moment) and only average just under 4.5 thousand. We are not in the middle of the worst recessions this slump has only just started and will go on for 4 to five years yet and faith and will are in very short supply my freind festive season or not. White elephant is what it is.

Nope how right you are. Ostriches don't bury their heads in sand its a myth just like a new stadium being the solution to all Brentfords economical problems but you can believe what you like can't you.This club has been in decline since WW2 AND SO HAVE ATTENDANCES just in case this fact passed you by and if we are losing half a mill per season at GP plus the other 10 we owe what sort of debt will we have when the proposed white elephant is finnished? If you think we will come out of it with less or no debt then good for you. The debt is not GP's fault its living beyond ones means for years that has caused the problem and losing half a mill per season still goes to show how ****ed the club is and only success on the pitch for a prolonged period will change that and we look a very long way off that.
