When you had a little bet on the Chiefs, this is a little depressing. Great comeback though even if it has been aided by god knows how many Chiefs injuries.

Heartbreak for the chiefs. They should have nailed the win. They had the most rotten luck with injuries. Surprised to see the Saints progress but expect them to succumb at the 12th man

am i understanding the weather conversions right - they said it was 4 degrees but felt like -14 - but Americans use Fahrenheit, right? so they were playing in -15, but it felt like -25?! wow, that's proper cold!

Yes you are right, not sure if the Packers fans have a 'coldest you have ever been at a match' thread , but if they did it would put ours to shame

that is bloody ridiculous 
i've experienced a few consecutive days of -25c here, it can dip that low - there is no way i'd be outside without wearing ALL my clothes in such conditions, let alone trying to run, catch a football etc

I did like the description of them having to clear the ice from the inside of their hotel room windows to see how cold it was outside.

Why wouldn't you fancy the Pats ?
Colts, at home, scraped past the Chiefs. The Chiefs only there due to a mighty easy schedule this year but when they had to play anyone half decent in the regular season (Broncos x2, Chargers x2 & Colts), they lost on every occasion. Even then, the Chiefs build up a massive lead in this play-off game and although you have to give some credit to Luck, you can't help think that if the Chiefs aren't decimated during the game due to injuries, then the Chiefs go on to win.
Don't get me wrong, it's not going to be easy for the Pats, especially with their own injuries, but if Luck and the Colts play anything like they did on Saturday, they have no chance v Pats.
Oh, and i'm not a Pats fan.

I would agree with SC's assessment there. I like our chances against the Colts but we would have a very slim chance against the Broncos, should they get past the Chargers. 3 very good wildcard games and the Chargers-Bengals game was interesting enough.

Broncos currently 9.5 pt favourites, Seahawks 8, Pats 7 and the 49ers Panthers game is Scr
Chargers have hit some form and that's a big spread but if anyone's going to rack up points, it's Manning and the Broncos. Chargers did win @ Denver in December though
Saints not too good on the road and Seahawks suffered only one loss at home and when the teams met in December, Seahawks were just far too good
Pats and Colts I discussed before but Brady has managed to get to 2nd seed with his depleted offence so no reason they can't go on. 8-0 at home is the Pats record. Teams didn't play in regular season.
Panthers v 49ers. Panthers strong at home and with an elite Defence. 49s strong away with an elite Defence. Panthers bt 49ers in San Francisco in November by one point in a low scoring game

So, we're sort of where we expected to be when the season started. Seahawks, 49ers, Broncos and Pats still standing
Fair play to the Pats and Brady who have overcome so many injuries. Just goes to show how bad the AFC East was/is
This weekend was a bit of a comedown after last week. The 2 AFC games weren't overly exciting and both the Pats and Broncos pretty much crusied through
NFC so much more competitive and both games were good hard games. Saints somehow got themselves into a position to maybe create a shock but then Colston messes up. 49ers was a lot closer than the 13 pt margin and a couple of questionable calls/non calls certainly went in their favour. How can Munnerlyn get penalised and yet Boldin gets away with a headbutt right in front of the official ? Some nice hits in the Seahawks game too. Poor old Percy got his fair share. So yes, these two games were approaching the 'brutal' status that i'm sure the Seahawks 49ers is going to be.
So, roll on Sunday. think times are 8pm for the Broncos Pats and 11.30 for the Seahawks 49ers. Couldn't be two more contrasting games in my opinion.
And just for Markybee ... an awesome week ahead

Hoping for a Broncos win and quite happy to see 49ers win as well. Although several months back went for Seahawks v Pats Superbowl. Would be quite happy to see my prediction be totally wrong

I watched his starting debut for the 49ers at Candlestick Park. He was a special talent then, and he continues to be.

There were times in the first half when I thought Tony Romo was inside Russell Wilson's uniform he was scrambling that much
Some might even say that the error at the end was Romoesque too.
At the end of the Broncos game I was wondering how the season would have panned out if Romo hadn't thrown the pick that handed victory to the Broncos in that incredibly wild shoot out at AT&T stadium

A poor pick to end it with. God knows what he was doing. However, you have to feel sorry for the 49ers as the Seahawks had some big decisions in the favour last night.
Can't wait for the Superbowl now and to see Manning v the Seahawks D

Absolutely gutted. Sherman has no class. Great player but complete ******. Fingers crossed for Manning at the Super Bowl. At least I'm doing well in the nfl fantasy playoff game. Small consolation

Yeh, he came across as an arse when they were interviewing him afterwards. Mind you, I haven't been following what Crabtree had alledgedly being saying about him before the game.
As for the fantasy play-off game, I thought I had it in the bag until I went down the list and saw your team. All over now. You win (well done) and me 2nd
Had my email from NFL.com last night with details of NFL packages. Cheapest option is $3k and that's without hotel and obviously flights. Oh well, tellybox it is for me

Crabtree is no angel, but Sherman has always been classless. Hopefully he will get his comeuppance in the Super Bowl.
